RECPDCL Senior Executive (Lead Verifier) Recruitment 2026 - 3 Posts

REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Ltd. (a Maharatna CPSE under Ministry of Power, Government of India), has released notification number RECPDCL/HR/2026/01 dated 22 May 2026. RECPDCL is expanding into carbon verification as an Accredited Carbon Verification Agency (ACVA) and is hiring experienced professionals on fixed-tenure basis initially for 1 year (extendable up to 4 years 6 months). This is a great opportunity for senior energy and carbon professionals to join a Maharatna power sector PSU.

• Senior Executive (Tech.) - Lead Verifier (Compliance) / L5: 2 vacancies (UR)
• Senior Executive (Tech.) - Lead Verifier (Offset) / L5: 1 vacancy (UR)

Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) of not less than 40% is admissible as per Government of India guidelines.

Who Can Apply?

For Lead Verifier (Compliance) - 2 Posts:

• Qualification: As per The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Qualification for Accredited Energy Auditors and Maintenance of the List) Regulations, 2010
• Experience: Minimum 13 years of post-qualification experience
• Essential Certifications: Accredited Energy Auditor by Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) AND Lead Verifier certification for ISO 14064-1/2/3

For Lead Verifier (Offset) - 1 Post:

• Qualification: Engineering Graduate (B.E./B.Tech) or equivalent, OR Bachelor of Science or equivalent
• Experience: Minimum 13 years of post-qualification experience, of which minimum 5 years must be in validation and/or verification activity as team member in CDM or VCM activities
• Essential Certification: Lead Verifier certification for ISO 14064-1/2/3

Nature of Experience Required:

• Demonstrated competence to lead a verification team and carry out verification activities
• Knowledge of energy and GHG accounting, emission sources, calculation methodologies
• Knowledge of Energy Conservation (Amendment) Act 2022, Environment Protection Act 1986, and Carbon Credit Trading Scheme 2023
• Risk assessment and data sampling techniques
• Only Indian Nationals can apply

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 48 years (as on the last date of application, i.e. 6 June 2026)
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), 10 years additional for PwBD candidates
• Reserved category candidates applying against unreserved posts will be treated as General category

Salary

• Monthly Consolidated Pay (MCP): Rs. 1,35,000 per month (Grade/Level L5)

Selection Process

Selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Shortlisting: Based on the details mentioned in the application. RECPDCL may adopt higher criteria if more applicants meet the eligibility criteria.
2. Personal Interview: To be conducted at Corporate Office, RECPDCL or through online mode as per the decision of management.
3. Document Verification: Verification of original documents at the time of interview.
4. Medical Fitness Test: Engagement is subject to medical fitness test prescribed by RECPDCL. No relaxation in medical standards.

The offer of engagement will be issued to suitable candidates in order of merit and based on the number of vacancies.

• Lead the verification team and carry out GHG verification activities for carbon offset and compliance projects
• Apply generic verification concepts including evidence gathering, risk management, and auditing techniques
• Conduct energy and GHG accounting reviews, including emission factors and calculation methodologies
• Assess conformity with the procedures defined under the Carbon Credit Trading Scheme (CCTS)
• Verify the accuracy of collected information and evaluate the sufficiency of evidence to support verification findings
• Perform risk assessment, data sampling, and statistical uncertainty analysis of GHG emissions
• Prepare verification reports in line with ISO 14064-1/2/3 standards and CCTS mechanisms
