Rampur Raza Library, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Culture in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, is hiring for 8 posts on a contract basis. Rampur Raza Library is one of India's most famous treasure houses of rare manuscripts, books and art, run under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The library has opened 8 vacancies across 5 different roles on a purely contract basis for an initial period of 11 months, which may be extended based on performance. Both fresh applicants and retired government officers can apply, and retired officers at the level of Under Secretary/Section Officer who retired at Pay Level 9/10/11/12 will be given preference.

Who Can Apply?

IT Consultant

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science / Artificial Intelligence / Data Science from a recognised university
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in the IT field in any State/Central Government, body, research institution, university or PSU

Account Consultant

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Commerce/Accountancy, or qualified Chartered Accountant / Company Secretary
• Minimum 7 years of experience in the field of Accounts in any government body, research institution, university or PSU

Administrative Consultant

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in any discipline from a recognised university
• Minimum 7 years of experience in the field of Administration in any government body, research institution, university or PSU

Research Assistant (Hindi)

• Ph.D. in Hindi from a recognised university
• Minimum 3 years of experience in research, translation or manuscript studies

Research Assistant (Sanskrit)

• Ph.D. in Sanskrit from a recognised university
• Minimum 3 years of experience in research, translation or manuscript studies

Typist/Data Entry Operator (Hindi)

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline plus a One-Year Certificate in Computer Applications
• 3 years of experience in the relevant field in a government body, research institution, university or PSU
• Typing speed of 30 words per minute in Hindi on a computer (9000 KDPH)

Typist/Data Entry Operator (English)

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline plus a One-Year Certificate in Computer Applications
• 3 years of experience in the relevant field in a government body, research institution, university or PSU
• Typing speed of 35 words per minute in English on a computer (10500 KDPH)

Age Limit

• IT Consultant: Not exceeding 45 years
• Account Consultant: Not exceeding 65 years
• Administrative Consultant: Not exceeding 65 years
• Research Assistant (Hindi & Sanskrit): Not exceeding 45 years
• Typist/Data Entry Operator (Hindi & English): Not exceeding 30 years
• Age will be calculated as on the last date for receipt of applications (12 June 2026), based on your High School certificate.

Salary

• IT, Account and Administrative Consultant: Rs. 55,000 per month
• Research Assistant (Hindi & Sanskrit): Rs. 45,000 per month
• Typist/Data Entry Operator (Hindi & English): Rs. 30,000 per month
• This is a fixed monthly salary paid on a contract basis.

Selection Process

Selection is done by shortlisting and interview:

1. Shortlisting: The library will check all applications and shortlist suitable applicants based on qualification and experience.
2. Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.

A character certificate from your last educational institution or a Gazetted Officer must be attached with your application.
