NHSRC Consultant Certification Unit (Quality and Patient Safety) Recruitment 2026

The National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC) is a technical support institution under the National Health Mission (NHM), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. Its Certification Unit manages the quality assessment and certification of public health facilities under the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS). NHSRC wants a Consultant to manage data and coordinate national-level quality assessments from application to result. This is a contract role till 31 March 2028, with possible extensions, and you will report to the Advisor - Quality & Patient Safety.

Who Can Apply?

Only full-time / regular degrees are accepted.

• Qualification: You must have a bachelor's degree in MBBS, BDS, Nursing or AYUSH, plus a full-time post-graduate degree in Hospital and Healthcare Management from a reputed institute.
• Experience: You need 2 years of post-qualification experience (after your PG).
• Quality Experience: You must have 2 years of experience in quality implementation and certification at the State or National level.
• Integrity: The role needs a strong moral and ethical code of conduct, with confidentiality while handling certification data.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 45 years or below.

Salary

• You will get a monthly fee between Rs. 60,000 and Rs. 1,20,000. The exact amount depends on your qualification and experience.

Selection Process

Selection is mainly through screening and an interview:

1. Shortlisting: Only shortlisted candidates are called for an interview.
2. Screening / Written Test: A screening test may be held to check your writing skills and language proficiency. If a written test is held, the top 5 candidates per vacancy (1:5 ratio) are considered; ties are all included.

• Support national-level quality assessments in allocated states, from receiving the application to declaring the result
• Manage the data generated to prepare fact sheets and data sets for national-level review
• Manage and implement quality certification activities in healthcare IT
• Monitor all certification activities and ensure they finish on time
• Send final reports to MoHFW for the final decision on a facility's quality certification status
• Coordinate with MoHFW officials, empanelled external assessors, quality experts and State/District QA nodal officers
• Manage the pool of empanelled external assessors and coordinate their national-level training
• Prepare certification guidelines, short notes and resource material
