About This Job
Apply for Medical Officer empanelment at Punjab's Aam Aadmi Clinics. MBBS doctors can walk-in for interviews district-wise.
The Punjab Health Department is holding walk-in interviews to empanel Medical Officers (MOs) at Aam Aadmi Clinics across 20 districts of Punjab. If you are an MBBS doctor, you can walk in directly at your district's Civil Surgeon office — no online application is needed. Empanelled doctors are paid Rs. 50 per patient, with a minimum of 50 patients per day assured. The empanelment is valid for one year, or until a regular doctor is posted, whichever is earlier.
Department of Health and Family Welfare, Punjab — Medical Officer Empanelment at Aam Aadmi Clinics
Punjab's Aam Aadmi Clinics provide free primary healthcare to residents across the state, and the Health Department is empanelling Medical Officers to staff these clinics. Unlike a regular salaried post, this is a fee-for-service empanelment — you get paid based on the number of patients you see each day, not a fixed monthly salary. Walk-in interviews are held on a recurring schedule at the Civil Surgeon's office in each district, so you can appear on the next scheduled date for your preferred district without waiting for a formal application window.
Who Can Apply?
- Qualification: You need an MBBS degree with valid medical council registration to work as a Medical Officer at these clinics.
- Location: Open to doctors willing to work at Aam Aadmi Clinics in any of the 20 listed Punjab districts.
Health facilities operate 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM in summer and 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM in winter, Monday to Saturday, with Sunday off. You are responsible for opening the clinic on time, keeping it clean, and closing it securely at the end of the day. The good news: you are free to run your own private practice after clinic hours at any other location, as long as you don't refer Aam Aadmi Clinic patients to paid private facilities.
Salary
- You get paid Rs. 50 per patient examined at the clinic.
- A minimum of 50 patients per day is assured, which works out to at least Rs. 2,500 per day, even on slow days.
- If you see more than 50 patients in a day, you earn an additional Rs. 50 for every extra patient, calculated on a monthly basis.
- No other allowances, perks, bonus, or medical reimbursement are provided under this empanelment.
Selection Process (Walk-In, No Written Exam)
There is no written exam for this empanelment. The process is straightforward:
- Walk-In Interview: Appear in person at the Civil Surgeon's office of your chosen district on the scheduled date.
- Document Check: Carry your MBBS degree and medical council registration certificate for verification.
- Empanelment Letter: If selected, you receive an empanelment letter assigning you to a specific Aam Aadmi Clinic.
