PSSSB Storekeeper Recruitment 2026 — Counseling Notice (Advt. 13/2025)

Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) has issued a counseling notice for the post of Storekeeper under Advertisement No. 13 of 2025. The written examination for this recruitment was held on 21 March 2026. Candidates who scored at or above the prescribed cut-off marks in the written test are now called for counseling and document verification on 28 April 2026. This is a state government post with a starting salary of Rs. 19,900 per month. Being called for counseling does not automatically mean selection — eligibility will be verified based on original documents.

Category-wise Cut-off Marks (Annexure E)

The following candidates are called for counseling based on their written exam scores:

• General/Open (Male): 55.00 marks and above
• General/Open (Female): All (no cut-off)
• EWS (Gen) — Male and Female: All
• SC (M&B) — Male: All
• SC (R&O) Male: 34.25 marks and above; Female: All
• BC (Male): 47.00 marks and above; Female: All
• ESM General (Self) Male: 32.00 marks and above
• ESM SC (M&B) / SC (R&O) / BC (Self) Male: All
• Physically Handicapped (Ortho, Hearing Impaired, ID/MD) — Male and Female: All

Who Can Apply (Original Eligibility for This Post)?

• Qualification: Matric (2nd class) OR 10+2, with a National Trade Certificate (NTC) or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in any Engineering Trade.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in storekeeping.
• Punjabi Requirement: Must have passed Punjabi at Matric level or pass PSSSB's Punjabi qualifying test (Matric level, minimum 50% marks).
• Domicile: Punjab domicile is required (all women candidates and reserved/backward category candidates must submit a residence certificate not older than 5 years).

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 37 years (as on 01.01.2025)
• Age Relaxation: SC/BC candidates — up to 42 years

Salary

• Basic pay: Rs. 19,900 per month (Pay Level-2, 7th CPC Pay Matrix)
• Plus DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Punjab Government rules

Application Fee (Original Fee Paid During Application)

• General / Sports / Freedom Fighter: Rs. 1,000
• SC / BC / EWS: Rs. 250
• Ex-Servicemen and Dependents: Rs. 200

Selection Process

1. Written Examination (MCQ): Objective type written test (already held on 21 March 2026).
2. Counseling / Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted based on written exam marks are called for document verification. This is scheduled for 28 April 2026 at the PSSSB office, Van Complex, Sector-68, Mohali at 09:00 AM.

Note: Being called for counseling does not guarantee appointment. Final selection depends on eligibility verified through original documents.

Documents to Bring for Counseling

You must bring original documents along with self-attested photocopies arranged in a file cover (not a plastic folder), tagged with a pin:

• Filled Annexure-A, Annexure-B, and Annexure-C forms with a recent passport-size photo
• Online application form printout
• Matric certificate (with DMC) — as proof of date of birth and Punjabi at 10th level
• 12th class certificate (with all DMCs)
• Graduation certificate (with all DMCs)
• SC / BC / Handicapped certificate (if applicable)
• Backward class creamy layer self-declaration (for BC candidates)
• EWS certificate (for economically weaker section candidates)
• ESM documents as per Sainik Welfare Department guidelines (for ex-servicemen and dependents)
• Gradation certificate as per Punjab Government guidelines (for sports category)
• Residence certificate not older than 5 years (for all women candidates and reserved category / BC / EWS / PwD candidates)
• Identity proof — Aadhaar Card / Passport / Voter ID / Driving Licence (any one)

Candidates who are kept withheld during counseling due to incomplete documents will be given time until 20 May 2026 to submit the required documents.

How to Attend Counseling

1. Check your category in Annexure E above and confirm your written exam score meets the cut-off.
2. Download and fill Annexure-A, Annexure-B, and Annexure-C forms from sssb.punjab.gov.in.
3. Arrange all original documents with self-attested photocopies in a file cover (not a plastic folder), tagged with a pin.
4. Be present at PSSSB, Van Complex, Sector-68, Mohali at 09:00 AM on 28 April 2026.
5. Note: No TA/DA will be paid for attending counseling.

• Maintain records of stock, inventory, and supplies in the assigned store or department
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes
• Issue materials and supplies to departments as per sanctioned requisitions
• Keep accurate stock registers and update them regularly
• Ensure proper storage and safety of materials to avoid damage or loss
• Prepare periodic stock reports and submit to the controlling officer
• Assist in annual physical verification of stores and reconciliation of stock records
