Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) has issued Advertisement No. 11 of 2026 for Line Superintendent Group C posts. The recruitment is for the Department of Power, Government of Punjab, and the application window runs from 15 May 2026 to 5 June 2026. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a three-year diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Punjabi Language: You must have passed Punjabi at Matric level or the equivalent Punjabi language requirement accepted by the Punjab Government.
• Qualification Cut-off: You must complete the required qualification before the last date for submitting the application form.

Age Limit

• You should be at least 18 years old as on 1 January 2026.
• General category applicants can apply up to 37 years.

• Widows, divorcees and certain married women categories: relaxation is available up to 40 years.
• Applicants who had applied under withdrawn Advertisement No. 08 of 2023 will have age counted with cut-off date 1 January 2023.

Salary

• Line Superintendent pay starts at Rs. 35,400 per month under Level-6 of the 7th Central Pay structure.
• You will also get allowances as per Punjab Government finance department rules and later orders.

• Old Advertisement 08/2023 applicants: No fresh fee is needed for this advertisement.
• Fee once paid is not refundable.

Important reservation note: The notification says reservation benefit will be available only as per Punjab Government rules, and you should keep the correct category code ready before filling the online form. If you claim a reserved category, your Punjab domicile or residence certificate should be valid and not older than the period accepted by the recruiting authority. The category code once filled in the application cannot be changed later, so check the code carefully before final submission.

Selection Process

The selection will be completed through a written exam and document checking.

1. Written Exam: Objective type MCQ paper will be held for applicants who submit the online form successfully.
2. Part A Punjabi Test: Punjabi language paper at Matric level is qualifying only. You need at least 50% marks in this part.
3. Part B Merit Paper: Final merit will be prepared only from marks scored in Part B.
4. Negative Marking: Each question carries 1 mark, and 1/4 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer in Part B.
5. Document Verification: Shortlisted applicants will be called for checking original certificates before recommendation to the department.

Merit tie rule: If two applicants get the same marks, PSSSB will first check the older applicant by date of birth. If the tie still remains, marks in the required qualification and then Matric marks can be used to decide the order. You should also keep original certificates ready because document verification will decide final eligibility after the written exam.

2. Open the Apply Online link for Advertisement No. 11 of 2026 when it is active.
3. Register and create your User ID and Password.
4. Fill in personal details, education details and category details carefully.
5. Upload your photo, signature, 10th certificate, diploma certificate and other required documents.
6. Pay the online fee and submit the form before 5 June 2026.
7. Take a printout of the submitted application form for future use.

Apply early: Because the online form also needs document upload and fee payment, complete the form before the final day to avoid last-minute portal issues.

Documents to keep ready: 10th certificate, Electrical Engineering diploma certificate, Punjabi language proof, domicile/residence certificate, category certificate if applicable, scanned photo, scanned signature and fee payment proof. The online form will be treated as complete only after the fee payment and final submission are successful.
