Pratapgarh Anganwadi Worker Recruitment 2026 - 250 Posts

The Office of the District Programme Officer (ICDS), Pratapgarh (Bal Vikas Seva Evam Pushtahar Vibhag, Uttar Pradesh) has started direct recruitment for 250 vacant Anganwadi Worker posts across 18 child development projects in Pratapgarh district, covering both city and village areas. With 250 openings, this is one of the bigger Anganwadi drives in the region and a great chance for local women to work close to home. These are honorarium-based posts under the ICDS programme, not regular pay-scale government jobs. The process is online only at upanganwadibharti.in; offline forms are not accepted.

An Anganwadi centre is the smallest unit of the ICDS scheme. It provides food, health support and early learning to children below 6 years and helps pregnant women and new mothers nearby. As an Anganwadi Worker you run this centre in your own area, which is why only local resident women are picked. Most workers serve the same centre for many years, so it is a steady, long-term engagement. The ICDS scheme is run by the state Women and Child Development set-up, and Anganwadi Workers are its key field-level staff who carry nutrition, health and pre-school services to every village and ward.

All 250 posts are spread over 18 projects. Here is the project-wise split (highest first):
