Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need to be a graduate from any recognized University or Institute.
• Professional Qualification: You must also hold a professional diploma in Film and Video Editing.
• Language: You need good proficiency in English.
• Experience: You need at least 3 years of relevant experience in video editing and post-production work.

Your age, experience and education will be assessed as on the date of issue of this notice — 28 July 2026.

Age Limit

• You should be below 45 years of age as on the date of notification (28 July 2026).
• No age relaxation for any category is mentioned in this notice, so the 45-year limit applies uniformly to all applicants.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated monthly remuneration, negotiable up to Rs. 50,000, depending on your experience and qualifications.
• This is a purely contractual engagement — you will not get any pensionary benefits or a claim to absorption/regularization in Prasar Bharati.
• The contract runs for one year at a time, with an annual performance appraisal that decides whether it gets renewed.
• Either side can end the contract with one month's notice, or one month's salary in place of notice.
• You will work on a full-time basis and cannot take up any other assignment during your contract period.
• This is a good stepping stone if you want hands-on experience at a national broadcaster, though it is not a permanent government position.

Selection Process

Prasar Bharati reserves the right to shortlist candidates through the following:

1. Skill Test: You may be tested on your video editing and post-production skills.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates go through a personal interview.

Since this is a direct contractual engagement rather than a government job under fixed recruitment rules, Prasar Bharati has full discretion over how the shortlisting and interview rounds are conducted.
