PNRD Assam Recruitment 2026 - 1,508 Vacancies

The Commissionerate of Panchayat and Rural Development (PNRD), Assam has published Advertisement No. E-436421/1447476/2026 dated 19 February 2026. This recruitment is for 1,508 contractual posts under the flagship programme. All posts are purely contractual and co-terminus with the programme tenure.

Vacancy Breakdown

• Accredited Engineer: 291 posts
• Gram Rozgar Sahayak (GRS): 464 posts
• Computer Assistant (CA): 291 posts
• Gram Panchayat Coordinator (GPC): 462 posts

30% of all positions are reserved for women candidates.

Who Can Apply

For Accredited Engineer:

• You need a Diploma in Civil Engineering
• You must also have a DCA (Diploma in Computer Application)

For Gram Rozgar Sahayak, Computer Assistant and Gram Panchayat Coordinator:

• You need a Graduation degree in any subject with at least 50% marks
• You must have a DCA (minimum 6 months course)
• You must be well versed in using Mobile applications

All candidates must be Indian citizens. Knowledge of Assamese, English and Hindi is needed.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 40 years (as on 01 January 2026)
• SC/ST candidates get 5 years relaxation
• OBC/MOBC candidates get 3 years relaxation
• PH (Persons with Disability) candidates get 10 years relaxation

Salary

• Accredited Engineer: Rs 18,000 per month (fixed)
• Gram Rozgar Sahayak / Computer Assistant / Gram Panchayat Coordinator: Rs 15,000 per month (fixed)

No additional allowances are given. No TA/DA is admissible.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on:

1. Written Exam (OMR based) - 75 marks
2. Viva Voce (Interview) - 25 marks
3. Document Verification

Total marks: 100. The written exam will have 75 questions carrying 1 mark each. You will get 2 hours to finish the exam. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Paper-1 is for GPC, CA and GRS posts. Paper-2 is for Accredited Engineer posts.
