Service Conditions and Caveats

• Part-time contract: The engagement is purely part-time and contractual for the 2026-27 session. Under KVS rules it ends at the close of the session or when a regular teacher joins, whichever comes first.
• No claim to a regular post: Contract teachers get no right to regular appointment and do not become part of the KVS teacher cadre.
• Pay rules: Pay is a consolidated monthly amount set by the station category. There is no vacation pay, and pay for autumn and winter breaks or days you are absent is worked out pro rata.
• Written test possible: If more than 10 candidates turn up for one post, the school may hold a written test.
• CTET relaxation: KVS rules let the school consider candidates without CTET only when no CTET-qualified candidate is available.
• Agreement: Selected candidates sign an agreement with KVS on non-judicial stamp paper.
• No TA/DA: No travel or daily allowance is paid for attending the interview, and the process may run late into the evening.
