Sarojini Naidu Medical College (SNMC), Agra is hiring project staff for an ICMR-funded clinical trial run from its Department of Respiratory Medicine. The study, known as the INSHORT trial, compares an intensified short-course treatment regimen with the standard regimen for adults with TB meningitis, using an open-label randomised controlled design. Posts and Disciplines

• Project Research Scientist-I (Medical): the medical post on the trial, open to MBBS or BDS graduates who already have work experience; you must be able to speak and communicate in the local language.
• Project Technical Support-II: a laboratory and technical role for science-stream candidates holding a diploma in MLT, DMLT or Engineering and experience in a relevant field.
• Project Nurse-II: a patient-facing nursing post for GNM-trained nurses who have already worked with patients; local-language communication is mandatory here too.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The first engagement is for six months and may be extended conditionally up to one year, only if the ICMR-funded project continues at SNMC, Agra.
• Temporary basis: These are purely temporary project posts, not regular SNMC appointments.
• Fixed pay plus HRA: Each post carries a fixed monthly amount plus HRA as admissible.
• Post-wise age caps: The upper age limit differs by post — the scientist post allows older candidates than the technical and nursing posts.
• Local language: The Research Scientist and Nurse posts require you to speak and communicate in the local language.
