Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), an Institution of National Importance under the Department of Science and Technology, is hiring a Project Scientist (Professional) at its Biomedical Technology (BMT) Wing in Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram. The post sits in an institute-funded (TDF) project called "Paperless blood bank – Blood banking: driving patient safety through digital health initiative", project code P.6275.

In simple words, the project wants to move blood bank records from paper to software, so that errors which can put patients at risk become less likely. That makes this a software developer's job inside a medical institute. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Reserved post: The single opening is earmarked for OBC candidates. If no eligible OBC candidate applies, the institute will consider unreserved (UR) applicants.
• OBC certificate format: OBC applicants need a valid non-creamy layer certificate in the Central Government format, issued by a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar.
• Tenure: The engagement first runs up to 21 September 2027 and is likely to be extended up to 21 September 2028.
• Experience after your degree only: Any experience you claim must have been gained after you completed the essential qualification.
• Written test is a screening round: Marks from the written test, if one is held, will not be counted in the final ranking.
• No travel allowance: You will not get TA/DA for attending the interview.
