PGIMER Field Worker Recruitment 2026: Overview

Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh is hiring a Field Worker for a research project in its Department of Endocrinology. The post belongs to an extramural study titled "Prevalence and incidence of metabolic disorders among cab drivers engaged in frequent outstation travel", led by Dr. Rimesh Pal, Associate Professor.

The study looks at how common metabolic disorders are among cab drivers who travel outstation often, and how many new cases appear over time. PGIMER is also hiring a Data Entry Operator for this project through a separate notice.

This is a contractual project post, not a regular PGIMER appointment. The notice asks for a Medical Lab Technology background, so it suits you if you have a B.Sc. or diploma in lab technology and want project experience at a major medical institute.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Nature of post: The position is purely temporary and is tied to the current project.
• Tenure: You join for 6 months first. The department can extend it up to a total of 12 months if your work is rated satisfactory.
• Pay type: The monthly amount is consolidated, so do not expect separate allowances on top of it.
