Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has released the detailed advertisement for Combined Technical Services Recruitment Examination (CTSRE-2025) under Advt. No. 5925/OSSC dated 30.12.2025. This recruitment fills 646 Group-B and Group-C posts across departments and Heads of Department under the Government of Odisha. Junior Engineer (Civil) alone has 606 posts, making this one of the biggest technical recruitment drives in Odisha this year. Diploma holders and freshers with the right specialization can apply.

Note: Group-B posts include Junior Engineer, Architectural Assistant, Cameraman, Photographer, Sound Recordist, Mechanic, and Video Film Editor. Group-C posts include Tracer and Junior Draughtsman (Civil).

Who Can Apply?

For Junior Engineer (Civil)

• You must have a Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification from an institution recognised by the Odisha State Council for Technical Education & Vocational Training (or AICTE-approved).

For Architectural Assistant

• You must have a Diploma in Architectural Assistantship from an institution recognised by the Odisha State Council for Technical Education & Vocational Training.

For Junior Draughtsman (Civil) and Tracer

• You should have an ITI certificate or Diploma in Civil Draughtsmanship from a recognised institution.

For Cameraman, Photographer, Sound Recordist, Video Film Editor and Mechanic

• You need a relevant Diploma or certificate in the related media or technical field from a recognised institution.

Language Requirement

• You must be able to read, write and speak Odia. This is mandatory for all posts.

Age Limit

• You should be between 21 and 42 years old as on 01 January 2025.
• Age Relaxation: SC / ST / SEBC / Women candidates get 5 years relaxation. PwD candidates get 10 years relaxation. Ex-Servicemen as per Odisha Government rules.
• Transgender candidates are also eligible to apply.

Salary

• Group-B Posts (Junior Engineer, Architectural Assistant, Cameraman, Photographer, Sound Recordist, Mechanic, Video Film Editor): Level-9, Cell-1 of ORSP 2017 — Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month
• Group-C Posts (Tracer, Junior Draughtsman): Level-5, Cell-1 of ORSP 2017
• You will also get Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA) and other benefits as per Government of Odisha rules.

Application Fee

• General / SEBC / Other categories: Rs. 500
• SC / ST / PwD candidates: No fee (exempted)
• Payment mode: Online only
• The examination fee will be refunded to candidates who actually appear in the recruitment examination.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Preliminary Examination: 150 objective questions for 150 marks in 150 minutes. Negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
2. Main Written Examination (Technical Paper): Subject-specific technical paper based on the post applied for.
3. Skill Test: Applicable for posts such as Cameraman, Photographer, Sound Recordist, Video Film Editor, Junior Draughtsman and Tracer.
4. Certificate / Document Verification

The Commission may conduct the exam through OMR or CBRE (Computer Based Recruitment Examination). A normalisation formula will be used if the exam is held in multiple shifts with different question papers.

6. Pay the application fee online (if applicable).
7. Submit the form and take a printout for your records.
