Ordnance Factory Khamaria (OFK), a unit of Munitions India Limited under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, located in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, has invited offline applications for 30 Tenure Based Graduate/Diploma Project Engineer (Chemical) posts on contract basis. The engagement is initially for one year, extendable up to a maximum of four years based on factory requirement and your performance. There is no application fee for any category. This is a great opportunity for Chemical Engineering graduates and diploma holders who have completed apprenticeship in ammunition manufacturing.

Who Can Apply?

1st Preference (Merit List prepared first):

• Qualification: Graduate (B.E./B.Tech) or Diploma in Chemical Engineering
• Apprenticeship: Completed apprenticeship in manufacturing/handling of ammunition and explosives

2nd Preference:

• Qualification: Diploma in Chemical Engineering
• Apprenticeship: Completed apprenticeship in manufacturing/handling of ammunition and explosives

3rd Preference:

• Qualification: B.Sc Graduate with Chemistry as one of the major subjects
• Apprenticeship: Completed apprenticeship in manufacturing/handling of ammunition and explosives

4th and 5th Preference:

• Qualification: Graduate (B.E./B.Tech) or Diploma in Chemical Engineering
• Apprenticeship: Completed apprenticeship in Chemical other than manufacturing/handling of ammunition and explosives, from any recognised organisation

Candidates meeting higher preference criteria will be considered first. Lower preference candidates are considered only when sufficient candidates from higher preference are not available.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 30 years old as on the last date of receipt of application.
• SC/ST: 5 years relaxation (up to 35 years)
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years relaxation (up to 33 years)
• PwBD: 10 years relaxation (up to 40 years)

Salary

• 1st Year: Rs. 36,000 per month (Basic Pay)
• 2nd Year: Rs. 37,080 per month
• 3rd Year: Rs. 38,192 per month
• 4th Year: Rs. 39,338 per month
• Plus Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA) as prevalent
• Plus House Rent Allowance (HRA) when company quarters are not available
• Night Duty Allowance and Risk Allowance as applicable
• EPF and Employees’ Compensation Act coverage included

Application Fee

• All categories: No fee (NIL)
• There is no application fee for any category including General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, and PwBD candidates.

Selection Process

Selection is based on merit — there is no written exam. Here is how it works:

1. Academic Merit (85% weightage): Your marks in Graduate/Diploma degree will carry 85% of the total merit score. If you have both a Degree and Diploma in the relevant field, the certificate with higher marks will be considered.
2. Personal Interaction/Interview (15% weightage): A personal interaction round carries the remaining 15% of the total score.
3. Document Verification: Candidates scoring above cut-off marks in academic merit and interview will be called for document verification. The number of candidates called will be limited to the number of posts notified (discipline and category-wise).

Final merit = Academic marks (85%) + Interview marks (15%). Separate merit lists will be prepared for Graduate (B.E./B.Tech) Chemical Engineering and Diploma Chemical Engineering candidates.

2. Print the application form and fill it up in BLOCK LETTERS only.
3. Attach self-attested copies of all required documents and two extra passport-size photographs (self-attested on the back).
4. Write on the envelope: "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF TENURE BASED GRADUATE/DIPLOMA PROJECT ENGINEER (CHEMICAL) PERSONNEL ON CONTRACT BASIS".

• Monitor production processes and ensure adherence to safety standards in explosive handling areas
• Prepare production reports and maintain records of daily output and material usage
• Assist senior engineers in quality control checks for ammunition products
• Follow standard operating procedures for chemical processing and explosive manufacturing
• Work in shifts including night duty as per factory production requirements
• Manage inventory of raw materials and finished explosive products in assigned sections
