OAV Hansapada Head Cook & Assistant Cook Recruitment 2026 — 3 Posts

Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya (OAV) Hansapada, Nimapara, Puri has invited applications for 1 Head Cook and 2 Assistant Cook posts for the Boys' Hostel under Advertisement No. 02/OAVHAN/2026-27 dated 07 April 2026. The selected candidates will need to stay in the hostel 24x7. Preference will be given to local candidates from Hansapada and Nimapara block area. No candidates from outside Puri district will be considered for these posts.

Who Can Apply?

For Head Cook:

• Gender: Only male candidates can apply
• Residence: You must stay in the hostel 24x7
• Preference: Candidates trained in cookery will get extra weightage
• Hygiene: You must be perfectly hygienic in your dresses and cooking habits
• Skills: You must know how to use LPG properly
• Domicile: Local candidates from Puri district preferred. No candidates from outside the district will be recruited

For Assistant Cook:

• Gender: Only male candidates can apply
• Residence: You must stay in the hostel 24x7
• Preference: Candidates trained in cookery will get extra weightage
• Hygiene: You must be perfectly hygienic in your dresses and cooking habits
• Skills: You must know how to use LPG properly
• Domicile: Local candidates from Puri district preferred. No candidates from outside the district will be recruited

Age Limit

• Head Cook: You should be between 30 and 40 years old as on 20 December 2025.
• Assistant Cook: You should be between 21 and 32 years old as on 20 December 2025.

Salary

• Head Cook: Rs. 9,000 per month (including EPF share of Employee and Employer)
• Assistant Cook: Rs. 6,750 per month (including EPF share of Employee and Employer)

This is a one-year contract engagement. On satisfactory performance, the engagement may be renewed after a gap of at least one working day.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a practical cooking test:

1. Physical Cooking Test: The selection committee may ask you to cook some items on the spot. They will check the taste, time taken, presentation of dishes, and how hygienic your cooking process is.
2. Document Verification: Scheduled on 25 April 2026 from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the school.

There is no written exam — selection is based on your cooking skills and document verification.

4. Paste a passport-size photograph on the form.

6. Your application must reach before 22 April 2026 (during office hours).

• Assist in serving meals to students during breakfast, lunch, and dinner
• Stay in the hostel premises and be available for duty round the clock
