About NRLM Karnataka

NRLM (National Rural Livelihoods Mission), run in Karnataka through the Karnataka State Rural Livelihood Promotion Society (KSRLPS), is a flagship rural poverty alleviation program under the Ministry of Rural Development. Its main goal is to help poor rural households, especially women, build sustainable livelihoods through Self Help Groups (SHGs), financial inclusion, and skill development. If you join as staff, you will directly support these community-level programs in Kalaburagi district.

Who Can Apply?

For Block Manager - Farm Livelihoods (Rs. 25,000/month):

• M.Sc. (Agriculture) or allied farm sciences with at least 1 year of field-level work experience, OR
• B.Sc. (Agriculture) or allied farm sciences with at least 3 years of field-level work experience, OR
• Any other Master's degree with at least 5 years of field-level work experience in farm livelihoods or a related field.

For Cluster Supervisor (Rs. 18,000/month):

• You need a graduate degree with at least 2 years of post-qualification relevant experience.
• You should be able to read, write and speak in Kannada and English, and know how to work with computers.

For Cluster Supervisor - Skill (Rs. 18,000/month):

• You need any graduation degree with at least 3 years of relevant field experience.

What You'll Do

As a Block Manager - Farm Livelihoods, you will implement farm livelihood activities at the block level, support Mahila Kisan (women farmers), coordinate with line departments, and help develop protocols for organic farming. As a Cluster Supervisor, you will lead community institution building at the cluster level, support livelihoods planning and micro-credit activities, and help households access government entitlement schemes. As a Cluster Supervisor - Skill, you will mobilize rural youth for skill training programs under DDU-GKY, counsel candidates, and track their placement outcomes.

• Implement farm livelihoods and community mobilization activities at the block or cluster level
• Support Self Help Groups (SHGs) and Mahila Kisan (women farmers) in planning and executing livelihood activities
• Coordinate with line departments and Panchayati Raj institutions for convergence of government schemes
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor project activities and provide on-ground support
• Maintain accurate data entry into the MIS and submit periodic progress reports
• Organize mobilization camps, awareness drives and skill training coordination as applicable to the post
• Identify and document best practices to improve program outcomes
