Redhakhol Forest Division Computer/Data Science Expert Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Office of the Divisional Forest Officer, Redhakhol Forest Division, under the Odisha Forest Department, has issued a corrigendum notice inviting applications for one Computer/Data Science Expert post. The expert will be engaged purely on an outsourcing basis through a service provider, initially for one year, which may be extended based on satisfactory performance. This corrigendum revises the eligibility criteria announced earlier under Notice No. 19 dated 30 June 2026 — if you already applied under that notice, you do not need to apply again. Your work will involve website and portal management, mobile app data handling across platforms like OFMS, KYFL and iWLMS, and training Division staff on AI and LLM tools. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related discipline from a recognized university. A postgraduate degree in Computer Science & Engineering or a related field is also accepted.
• Desirable Skills: Programming and scripting in Python, SQL, JavaScript; working knowledge of AI/ML and LLM tools; data server management; and MS Office/map design skills.
• Added Advantage: Experience in application or website development, and the ability to pilot a drone, will count in your favour.
• Preference: Candidates with prior work experience or knowledge of the Forest Department will be given preference during selection.

Age Limit

• You should be under 35 years of age as on 01 January 2026.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/SEBC candidates get up to 5 years relaxation. You must submit an original and self-attested photocopy of your Community Certificate to claim this.

Salary

• You will get a fixed monthly pay of Rs. 36,000 for this outsourced engagement.
• This is a consolidated remuneration — no separate DA, HRA, or other allowances are mentioned in the notice.
• The engagement is initially for 12 months and may be renewed for the next year(s) based on your performance, or discontinued by the Division with one month's prior notice.
• You get 12 days of casual leave per year, with prior permission from the Divisional Forest Officer.
• You will be expected to work during regular office hours, and occasionally beyond duty hours or on off days if the Division needs you to, with mutual agreement.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam for this post. Selection happens in these stages:

2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. Preference goes to candidates with relevant work experience or knowledge of the Forest Department.
