Goa College of Agriculture (GCA) Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026 - 3 Posts

Goa College of Agriculture (GCA), affiliated to Goa University and also functioning as the State Agriculture Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI), has invited applications for 3 Assistant Professor posts in Agronomy for the 2026-27 academic year. The college, run under the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Goa, issued this notice vide Reference No. 4/4/SAMETI/GCA/RECRUITMENT/2026-27/676, dated 4 August 2026. There is no written exam — GCA fills these posts purely through a walk-in interview, making this a quick opportunity if you already meet the eligibility criteria for Assistant Professor in Agronomy or an allied discipline. Agronomy covers crop production, soil science and farming systems — core subjects in GCA's teaching curriculum — and the college regularly brings in contract and lecture-basis faculty to keep pace with its academic workload across the year. This suits candidates already based in Goa, since a long-term domicile requirement applies to every post, and anyone looking to start or continue a teaching career in agricultural sciences without moving out of state.
