Government Industrial Training Institute (Govt. ITI), Jajpur Guest Instructor Recruitment 2026 - 11 Posts

The Office of the Principal, Industrial Training Institute, Jajpur has issued a corrigendum rescheduling its walk-in interview for engaging Guest Instructors under the Directorate of Technical Education & Training (DTE&T), Odisha, Cuttack. The interview, earlier fixed for 19 August 2026, has now been moved up to 12 August 2026 as per DTE&T Letter No. 8CT-II-31/2011/9167 dated 04.08.2026. These are trade instructor positions to teach in 7 different vocational trades at the institute in Jajpur district, and the engagement will last for the 2026-27 academic session or until a regular instructor is posted by DTE&T, whichever is earlier. Who Can Apply?

Eligibility is set as per DGE&T norms and differs by trade. Each trade also requires a valid National Craft Instructor Certificate (NCIC) under DGT as the essential qualification, on top of the technical qualification below.

Guest Instructor (Electrician)

• B.Voc/Degree in Electrical Engineering (AICTE/UGC recognized) with 1 year experience, OR a 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 2 years experience, OR NTC/NAC in the Electrician trade with 3 years experience.

Guest Instructor (Fitter)

• B.Voc/Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 1 year experience, OR a 3-year Diploma with 2 years experience, OR NTC/NAC in Fitter or Tool & Die Maker trade with 3 years experience.

Guest Instructor (MMV)

• B.Voc/Degree in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering with 1 year experience, OR a 3-year Diploma with 2 years experience, OR NTC/NAC in Mechanical Motor Vehicle trade with 3 years experience.
• You must also hold a valid LMV Driving License for this trade.

Guest Instructor (Welder)

• B.Voc/Degree in Mechanical/Metrology/Production Engineering/Mechatronics with 1 year experience, OR a 3-year Diploma with 2 years experience, OR NTC/NAC in Welder trade with 3 years experience.

Guest Instructor (Solar Technician)

• B.Voc/Degree in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering with 1 year experience, OR a 3-year Diploma with 2 years experience, OR NTC/NAC in Solar Technician trade with 3 years experience.

Guest Instructor (COPA)

• B.Voc/Degree in Computer Science/IT with 1 year experience, OR PG in Computer Science/Computer Application/IT with 1 year experience, OR Bachelor's in Computer Science/Computer Application/IT or PGDCA with 2 years experience, OR a 3-year Diploma with 2 years experience, OR NTC/NAC in COPA or any IT-ITeS trade with 3 years experience.

Guest Instructor (Cosmetology)

• B.Voc/Degree in a relevant field with 2 years experience, OR a 3-year Diploma in Beauty Culture/Cosmetology with 2 years experience, OR NTC/NAC in Hair & Skin Care/Cosmetology with 3 years experience.

Age Limit

• You should be at least 21 years old as on 31 July 2026. No maximum age is mentioned in the notice.

Selection Process

Selection for Guest Instructor happens in these stages:

1. Written Test on trade-related knowledge.
2. Demo Class (Theory): you take a short trial class in front of the selection panel.
3. Skill Test to check your hands-on trade skills.
4. Teaching Experience: your past teaching experience is considered for merit.
5. CITS Trained: candidates with Craft Instructor Training Scheme (CITS) certification get added preference.

The engagement is purely temporary on an hourly basis and can be ended at any time as per DTE&T, Odisha guidelines. The institute reserves the right to accept or reject any candidature without giving a reason, and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of Jajpur District Headquarters only.

How to Apply

1. Reach Govt ITI, Jajpur (At- Upper Baruan, Po- Kabirpur, Dist- Jajpur, Odisha, Pin- 755009) on 12 August 2026 between 9:30 AM and 10:00 AM.
2. Carry your Bio-data along with one set of self-attested photocopies of all certificates.
3. Bring 2 passport size photos and a photocopy of your Aadhaar card.
4. Carry all original documents for on-the-spot verification.
5. No candidate will be entertained after 10:00 AM, so reach early. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
