Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar (NITJ) Guest Faculty Recruitment 2026 - 11 Posts

Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar (NITJ) has released Advertisement No. 49/2026 inviting candidates for a walk-in interview to fill 11 Guest Faculty and Lecture-Basis positions for a maximum period of eleven months. The posts are spread across Physics, Chemistry, the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP), language departments (Hindi, Punjabi, German, French) and Humanities & Management. There is no written exam - selection happens entirely through a walk-in interview at the office of the Dean, Faculty Welfare. This is a good opportunity if you have a fresh PhD, a submitted PhD thesis, or an M.Tech and want teaching experience at a top NIT.

NITJ is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology set up by the Government of India, and a Guest Faculty stint here is a useful stepping stone if you are building an academic career - it gives you classroom experience, exposure to an NIT-level curriculum, and time to work on your own research alongside teaching. Since this is a stop-gap arrangement rather than a regular post, it particularly suits recent PhD graduates, thesis-submitted candidates, and language experts looking for short-term teaching assignments.
