NIT Raipur Project Fellow Recruitment 2026: Overview
National Institute of Technology Raipur (NIT Raipur) wants a Project Fellow in its Department of Computer Applications. The post is part of the research project SUHAWNI (Smart Utility for Homeostasis AI in Women's Nutritional Improvement), sanctioned by the Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology (CGCOST) under its Science and Society Programme.
This is a purely temporary, project-based fellowship, so it suits you if you hold a master's in computer science, IT, data science or AI and want hands-on research work with artificial intelligence and machine learning. The project is guided by Dr. Manju Pandey, Associate Professor in the department.
One real bonus: the selected fellow may be encouraged to enrol for a PhD at NIT Raipur, as per the institute's rules. If you have GATE or CSIR-UGC NET, publications or earlier research experience, the application form has space to show them.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Project length: The SUHAWNI project runs for one year in total.
- Initial term: Your first appointment is for 3 months, and the fellowship is reviewed every 3 months.
- Continuation: You stay on only with satisfactory performance and available project funds.
- Discontinuation: You can be released at any time with one month's notice if your work is not found satisfactory.
- Co-terminus: The post ends with the project and follows the terms of CGCOST and the rules of NIT Raipur.
- No travel allowance: No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
