National Institute of Technology Raipur (NIT Raipur) has released Adv. No. NITRR/IT/2026/16135 for the project titled AI-Driven Groundwater Iron Safety Framework for Tribal Mining Communities of Chhattisgarh. The project is funded by IBITF, DST, Government of India and is linked with NIT Raipur and GEC Jagdalpur. Vacancy Breakdown

• Junior Research Fellow (JRF): 2 posts, including 1 for GEC Jagdalpur and 1 for NIT Raipur.

Who Can Apply?

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

• Qualification: You need B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical, AI, Data Science, Applied Geology, Civil, Mining or equivalent with at least 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA in M.E./M.Tech/MCA.
• Alternate route: You can also apply with B.E./B.Tech from an Institute of National Importance with at least 80% marks or 8.5 CGPA.
• Desirable: GATE/NET including Lectureship or other national level selection through central government agencies is preferred.

Software Developer

• Qualification: You need B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, AI, Data Science or MCA/equivalent with at least 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA.
• Skills: Sound knowledge of AI, Deep Learning, Python/R or other programming tools is preferred.

Salary

• Junior Research Fellow: Rs. 37,000 per month plus 20% HRA.
• Software Developer: Fixed salary of Rs. 50,000 per month.
• Allowances: HRA is mentioned only for the JRF post in the notification.

Selection Process

The selection will be done through a walk-in interview at NIT Raipur. No written exam is mentioned in the notification.
