NIT Hamirpur Project Scientist & Nurse Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

National Institute of Technology Hamirpur (NIT Hamirpur), an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, has invited applications for 2 project research posts under the ICMR project titled "A Real-Time, AI-Enabled Emergency Pacing and Monitoring System for Anticipatory Compensation of Missed Cardiac Beats During Symptomatic Bradyarrhythmia in Pre-Hospital and Ambulance Transfers". The project is approved under the 'First in the World Challenge' scheme of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) vide Letter No. DEV/FIW-2025-01-1159_PN dated 05/02/2026. The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (DoECE) is hosting the project at the Hamirpur campus.

Who Can Apply?

Project Research Scientist-III (Non-Medical)

• Essential Qualification: First Class Post Graduate Degree (including integrated PG degrees) with 3 years experience OR PhD; OR Second Class PG Degree with PhD and 3 years experience.
• Engineering / IT / CS path: First Class four-year Graduate degree with 5 years experience.
• Project Handling: You must have handled minimum 5 projects as Principal Investigator or Co-PI.
• Desirable: Experience in medical devices, embedded hardware, firmware, real-time monitoring systems, AI/ML, deep learning, edge-AI, clinical validation, regulatory documentation, and high-quality publications/patents.

Project Nurse-IV

• Essential Qualification: B.Sc. Nursing with minimum 3 years of clinical or research experience in hospital, emergency, or critical care settings.
• Desirable: Experience handling cardiac patients, patient monitoring systems, ECG monitors, defibrillators, or vital sign monitoring equipment. Prior experience in clinical research projects, data collection, or patient follow-up will be preferred.

Age Limit

• Project Research Scientist-III (Non-Medical): Up to 45 years
• Project Nurse-IV: Up to 35 years

Salary

• Project Research Scientist-III (Non-Medical): Rs. 78,000 per month + HRA (as per ICMR norms)
• Project Nurse-IV: Rs. 40,000 per month + HRA (as per ICMR norms)
• HRA is paid as per the prevailing ICMR/Government rules.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is shortlisting and interview based:

1. Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted based on qualifications, experience, and relevance to the project.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview, which may be conducted online or offline.
3. Document Verification: You must bring original documents at the time of interview for verification.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
