The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Ahmedabad (NIPER Ahmedabad) has released Advertisement No. Project/2026/008 for engagement of project staff under the ICMR-funded project titled "Investigating the role of Inosine in mitigating decreased innate immunity response in ischemic stroke following chronic kidney disease" (Project Code IIRP-2023-3905/F1). Selection is through online application followed by screening or interview - no written exam. Researchers with experience in molecular biology, small animal handling, and stroke biology are encouraged to apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Essential Qualification (Option 1): First-class postgraduate degree, including an integrated PG degree
• Essential Qualification (Option 2): Second-class postgraduate degree (including integrated PG degree) with Ph.D.

Desired Work Experience

• Experience in molecular biology techniques - cell culture, rt-QPCR, Western-blot, Flow cytometry, RNA extraction, ELISA, Histological staining etc.
• Firsthand experience in small animal handling and small animal surgery
• Fair knowledge of molecular mechanism elucidation and statistical data analysis
• Knowledge of neuroscience and stroke will be preferred
• At least 1 research publication in the field of stroke biology as first author in a journal of repute

Salary

• Consolidated salary of Rs. 56,000 per month plus HRA as applicable
• HRA payable as per institutional rules

Selection is based on shortlisting and interview:

• Conduct molecular biology experiments including cell culture, rt-QPCR, Western blot, Flow cytometry, RNA extraction, ELISA and histological staining
• Handle small animals and assist in small animal surgery for stroke and chronic kidney disease models
• Investigate the role of Inosine in modulating innate immunity response in ischemic stroke
• Analyse experimental data using appropriate statistical methods
• Maintain detailed laboratory records, project files, and animal usage logs
• Prepare research reports, manuscripts, and presentations for project deliverables
• Work closely with the Principal Investigator Dr. Pallab Bhattacharya and the project team
