National Institute of Indian Medical Heritage (NIIMH) is a unit under the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India. It is located in Hyderabad, Telangana, and is a WHO Collaborating Centre for Traditional Medicine Research. NIIMH is conducting a walk-in interview to prepare a panel of research fellows for its various ongoing projects. These are contractual positions that are co-terminus with the project duration. Both offline (in-person) and online interview modes are available.

Who Can Apply?

For SRF (Ayurveda) -- Rs. 42,000/month:

• Essential: BAMS degree from a recognized university
• Desirable: Higher qualifications like M.D./M.S. (Ayurveda), or previous research experience in projects funded by Ministry of Ayush, ICMR, CSIR, DST or similar organizations
• Desirable: Skills in drafting and editing scientific documents, articles, and technical reports
• Desirable: Publications in peer-reviewed journals
• Desirable: Working knowledge of computer applications

For JRF (Medical Records) -- Rs. 37,000/month:

• Essential: Master's degree or PG Diploma (2 years) in Medical Record Sciences / Medical Record Technology / Medical Record Science and Clinical Information Technology / Health Information Management / Hospital Management / Masters in Public Health (MPH) / Masters in Health Administration (MHA) or equivalent from a recognized university
• Desirable: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint etc.
• Desirable: Experience in maintaining medical records, previous research/collaborative experience in Ministry of Ayush-funded projects

For JRF (History/Archaeology/Anthropology) -- Rs. 37,000/month:

• Essential: Post-Graduation in History / Archaeology / Anthropology
• Desirable: Higher qualifications like Ph.D., or previous research experience in projects funded by Ministry of Ayush, ICMR, CSIR, DST or similar organizations
• Desirable: Skills in drafting scientific documents, working knowledge of MS Office and ICT tools
• Desirable: Publications in peer-reviewed journals
• Desirable: Knowledge of estampage making and deciphering inscriptions of different scripts

Age Limit

• SRF (Ayurveda): You should not be more than 35 years old as on the date of interview (06 May 2026)
• JRF (Medical Records): You should not be more than 30 years old as on the date of interview
• JRF (History/Archaeology/Anthropology): You should not be more than 30 years old as on the date of interview
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC candidates get age relaxation as per Government of India rules

Salary

• SRF (Ayurveda): Rs. 42,000 per month plus admissible HRA
• JRF (Medical Records): Rs. 37,000 per month plus admissible HRA
• JRF (History/Archaeology/Anthropology): Rs. 37,000 per month plus admissible HRA

The HRA amount depends on the city classification of Hyderabad as per Central Government norms.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Written Test (Online/Offline): A written test will be conducted first. Candidates appearing in physical mode will take an offline test, while those in online mode will take it online.
2. Interview: Candidates who clear the written test will be called for the interview round.

This is a panel preparation exercise. Selected candidates will be empanelled and called as per project requirements.

3. Attach a passport-size photograph
4. Prepare self-attested photocopies of all certificates: SSC/10th, Intermediate/12th, Degree Certificate, PG Certificate, Experience Certificates, Caste Certificate (if applicable), PPO (for retired persons)
5. Send the complete set by email to niimh.recruitment@gmail.com on or before 04 May 2026 by 5:00 PM
6. For online mode: You will receive an interview link by email on or before 05 May 2026 by 4:00 PM
7. For physical mode: Visit NIIMH Hyderabad directly on 06 May 2026 by 10:00 AM with all original certificates for verification

• Prepare research papers for peer-reviewed journals
• Follow project timelines and report progress to senior researchers
