About This Job

The National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) is hiring a Consultant Grade-I (Technical) on a full-time contract basis in its Planning Wing at New Delhi. If you have a B.Arch and Master's in Planning with 55% marks plus 2 years of project experience, you can apply. The consolidated salary is Rs. 1,00,000 per month. NCRPB Consultant Grade-I (Technical) Recruitment 2026

The National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB), a statutory body under the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, has issued fresh terms of reference for engagement of Consultant Grade-I (Technical) on a full-time daily basis. The earlier advertisement dated 06 March 2025 has been cancelled due to administrative reasons — candidates who applied earlier must apply afresh. The contract is initially for one year and can be extended up to a maximum of five years. The role supports the Planning Wing of the Board.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• Degree: B.Arch and Master's in Planning with a minimum of 55% marks
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in planning, execution, and monitoring of projects

Preferential

• Candidates with specialisation in housing will be given preference

Ex-Govt. Servants

• Ex-Govt. Servants from Government, PSU, University, Statutory Body, or Autonomous Organization who have worked in Pay Level 10 and above are eligible and encouraged to apply
• Maximum age for ex-government servants is also 35 years

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: 35 years
• The cut-off date for post qualification and maximum age is 30 days from the date of publication in Employment News

Salary

• Consolidated remuneration: Rs. 1,00,000 per month (One Lakh only)
• For Ex-Govt. Servants, salary will be as per extant guidelines of the Ministry of Finance (Department of Expenditure)
• Leave entitlement: 1.5 days per completed month, no accumulation beyond a calendar year
• TA/DA for official tours: Air (Economy) or Rail (AC 2-Tier), hotel up to Rs. 2,250 per day, taxi up to Rs. 338 per day, food bills up to Rs. 900 per day

Selection Process

Selection will be based on:

1. Shortlisting based on qualifications and experience
2. Interview by a Selection Committee formed by the Board
3. Document Verification at the time of interview (originals required)

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

• Prepare technical reports, plans, and project documents related to the National Capital Region
• Assist in regional planning, housing schemes, and urban development projects
• Coordinate with Member Secretary, Chief Regional Planner, and Director (A&F) on assigned works
• Maintain confidentiality of all work and records during the period of engagement
• Hand over the complete set of records and assignments to NCRPB before the expiry of contract
• Follow the Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1964 during the engagement
