NBEMS Research Associate Recruitment 2026 - 8 Posts

National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, conducts post-graduate medical examinations at the national level. NBEMS is now hiring 8 Research Associates on contract basis across three specialized areas: Medical (5 posts), Finance and Accounts (2 posts), and Cyber Security (1 post). This is a walk-in recruitment with no written exam — selection happens through direct interaction. Who Can Apply?

For Research Associate-I (Medical):

• Essential Qualification: Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)
• Desirable: Experience in Government, Semi-Government, Autonomous Bodies, Educational or Examination Institutes will be given preference

For Research Associate-II (Finance and Accounts):

• Essential Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant from ICAI
• Experience: Three years of post-qualification experience in a reputed firm handling GST, TDS, Income Tax returns, Annual Accounts, and Investment

For Research Associate-II (Cyber Security):

• Essential Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or Information Technology; or MCA; or M.Sc in Electronics, Applied Electronics, Physics, Computer Science, or IT
• Knowledge: IT Standards, Rules, and Regulations of Information Technology
• Certifications (Preferred): CISSP, CISM, or CISA along with ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor
• Experience: 15 years of post-qualification experience in IT Systems, of which at least 8 years should be in Information or Cyber Security in Government, Semi-Government, Autonomous Bodies, Educational or Examination Institutes, or large private IT companies

Age Limit

• Research Associate-I (Medical): Maximum 40 years
• Research Associate-II (Finance & Accounts): Maximum 45 years
• Research Associate-II (Cyber Security): Maximum 45 years
• Age Relaxation: 5 years relaxation for candidates with minimum 3 years of experience in Examination Institutes
• Age, qualification, and experience will be calculated as on the date of publication of the advertisement in the employment newspaper.

Salary

• Research Associate-I (Medical): Consolidated salary of Rs 50,000 per month
• Research Associate-II (Finance & Accounts): Consolidated salary of Rs 95,000 per month
• Research Associate-II (Cyber Security): Consolidated salary of Rs 95,000 per month
• Annual Increment: 5% increment on satisfactory completion of one year, subject to performance review
• No allowances like DA, HRA, or TA are admissible. Only the lumpsum consolidated salary is payable.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection will be done through a single-stage Walk-in Interaction:

1. Walk-in Interaction: Candidates must appear in person at the NBEMS office with a duly filled application form and all original documents. Screening and interaction will be conducted by a panel at their discretion.
2. Document Verification: All original documents related to age, qualification, experience, and caste will be verified on the spot.

NBEMS reserves the right to hold a written examination or set its own selection criteria if needed.

Contract Duration

• Research Associate-I: Initial engagement for 1 year, extendable for up to 2 more years (maximum 3 years total: 1+1+1)
• Research Associate-II: Initial engagement for 1 year, extendable for up to 4 more years (maximum 5 years total: 1+1+1+1+1)
• Extension is subject to satisfactory performance evaluation and requirement of NBEMS.

No candidate will be allowed to report after the scheduled time.

• Prepare analytical reports, data compilations, and research documentation

• Monitor and strengthen information security systems and cyber infrastructure (Cyber Security post)
• Work closely with senior officers and department heads on assigned projects
• Maintain records, databases, and documentation as per NBEMS standards
