NABARD Consultancy Services (NABCONS), a wholly owned subsidiary of NABARD, has released a notification for 1 Junior Level Consultant post under the Farm Sector Development Department of NABARD. The role is for monitoring Tribal Development Fund (TDF) Wadi projects on the ground in Mizoram. There is no written exam — selection is through shortlisting and an interview. This is a contract post on an initial 11-month engagement.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must be a graduate from a recognised university in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Agricultural Engineering, Dairy Technology, or Veterinary and Animal Science.
• Experience: You need 1-2 years of experience in natural resource management, financing, value chain management, agri-marketing projects or studies.
• Computer skills: You should know MS Office and be able to use the mobile app built for data collection.
• Fitness: You must be physically fit to travel to rugged project sites.
• Language: You must be proficient in the State language. Knowing different dialects of the State gives you extra marks.

Age Limit

• You should be between 24 and 50 years old as on the date of application.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 40,000 per month.
• The pay is revised by 5% every year after one year of satisfactory service.
• You also get extra facilities — Rs. 4,000 petrol allowance, Rs. 1,500 lunch allowance, Rs. 500 mobile expenses per month, medical insurance, lodging and halting allowances during field visits.
• The salary is inclusive of all statutory deductions and tax is deducted at source.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is done in these steps:

1. Shortlisting: NABCONS screens applications based on your qualification, suitability and experience. Only the required number of candidates are called.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates attend an interview (in person or virtual). You may also be tested on your MS Office and data management skills.
3. Medical Fitness: Your final appointment depends on you being medically fit, checked when you report at the place of posting.

• Visit every Wadi and monitor the Tribal Development projects at ground level
• Collect data on different project components as directed by the Regional Office
• Upload project data into the Saral survey app and digitise the project regularly
• Conduct project rating exercises for the assigned projects
• Assist in preparing project-wise monitoring reports
• Travel extensively within and outside the State for field visits
• Handle any other work assigned by the Regional Office as needed
