MIDHANI is hiring 5 top-level executives at its Hyderabad headquarters — 2 Group General Managers and 3 General Managers. Who Can Apply?
Group General Manager (Production) — Sl. No. 1
- Qualification: Minimum 60% marks in BE/B.Tech in Metallurgy or Material Science Engineering with 20 years post-qualification experience in production at a metallurgical process plant. OR ME/M.Tech with the same specialization and 18 years experience.
Group General Manager (Projects) — Sl. No. 2
- Qualification: Minimum 60% marks in BE/B.Tech (preferably Metallurgy, Mechanical, Production, Electrical or Civil) with 20 years post-qualification experience in setting up projects. OR ME/M.Tech with 18 years experience.
General Manager (Quality) — Sl. No. 3
- Qualification: Minimum 60% marks in BE/B.Tech in Metallurgy or Material Science with 17 years experience in quality control at a metallurgical plant or government organisation. OR ME/M.Tech with 15 years experience.
- Experience in NADCAP, ISO 9001, AS 9100 certifications is desirable.
General Manager (R&D) — Sl. No. 4
- Qualification: Minimum 60% marks in ME/M.Tech in Metallurgy or Material Science with 15 years R&D experience in a metallurgical plant or government organisation. PhD in Metallurgy or Material Science is preferred.
General Manager (HR) — Sl. No. 5
- Qualification: Degree preferably in Engineering or Physical Sciences plus a 2-year PG degree in Business Administration (Personnel/HR) or MA in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations or MSW with 20 years post-qualification HR experience. Law degree preferred. Knowledge of Telugu and/or Hindi is essential.
Note: 10% relaxation in qualifying marks for SC candidates applying to GM (Quality) and GM (R&D) posts. Only Indian nationals may apply.
Age Limit
- Group General Manager (Production & Projects): Maximum 53 years for UR category
- General Manager (Quality, R&D, HR): Maximum 50 years for UR category
- Age cut-off date: 6 May 2026
- Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India rules for reserved categories
Salary
- Group General Manager: Scale of pay Rs. 1,20,000 - 3% - 2,80,000 (IDA Pattern). CTC approx Rs. 31.3 Lakhs per annum
- General Manager: Scale of pay Rs. 1,00,000 - 3% - 2,60,000 (IDA Pattern). CTC approx Rs. 26 Lakhs per annum
- CTC includes Basic Pay, DA, HRA, Perks and Allowances. Performance Related Pay, EPF, Gratuity and Superannuation are extra.
- HRA is 30% for X-class cities. Pay protection applies as per rules.

Selection Process
Selection is based purely on interview — there is no written exam.
- Initial Screening: Applications are screened based on qualification, experience and eligibility criteria
- Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for personal interview at Hyderabad. Outstation candidates get AC-I train fare reimbursement by the shortest route on submitting proper documents.
- Pre-Employment Medical Examination: Provisionally selected candidates must clear physical and medical fitness

Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end production processes at MIDHANI's metallurgical plant, ensuring efficiency, quality and on-time delivery
- Plan and execute new projects, upgradation and modernisation programs including heavy equipment erection and commissioning
- Manage Aerospace Quality Management Systems, NDT techniques, NADCAP and AS9100 certifications
- Drive R&D for special-purpose steels, superalloys, titanium and refractory alloys including melting, mechanical testing and failure analysis
- Handle corporate HR functions, industrial relations, personnel policies and compliance with labour laws
- Formulate corporate-level policies, procedures and guidelines and brief Top Management on critical issues
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams across production, projects, quality, R&D and HR to meet strategic Defence and Space sector requirements
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
BE/B.Tech in Metallurgy, Material Science, Mechanical, Production, Electrical or Civil Engineering with minimum 60% marks (for engineering posts); or relevant PG degree in HR/Personnel Management (for HR post)
Preferred Qualification
ME/M.Tech in relevant discipline; PhD for R&D post; Law degree for HR post; Knowledge of Telugu and/or Hindi (for HR post)
Required Skills
Senior-level experience in metallurgical process plants, production management, project management, quality systems (NADCAP/ISO 9001/AS 9100), R&D in special alloys, or HR/Personnel Management
