Who Can Apply?

Engineering Posts (most post codes)

• B.E. / B.Tech in the relevant discipline (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Mining, Structural, Instrumentation, etc.) from a UGC / AICTE recognised university, acquired through regular / full-time mode only
• Post-qualification experience as per post code: Asst. Engineer (2 years), Dy. Engineer (5 years), Addl. Engineer (9-10 years)

Engineer (Safety) — Post 06

• Diploma engineers / other degree holders with Diploma / certification course in Industrial Fire & Safety / HSE
• Minimum 16 years of experience in industrial fire & safety or HSE

HR / Admin / Marketing posts

• PG Degree / PG Diploma (2 years) / MBA / MSW / MA with specialisation in HRM / IR / Personnel Management for HR posts
• Graduation in any discipline with full-time MBA / PGDM for Admin posts
• Graduate in any discipline with at least 15 years of Govt / PSU experience for Addl. Officer (Marketing)

Finance / Contracts

• Final examination of ICAI / ICWA for Asst. Executive (Finance)
• Engineering degree in any discipline for Contracts posts

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: 50 years (as on 23 March 2026) for all posts
• Age relaxation: 3 years for OBC (NCL), 5 years for SC / ST
• Persons with Disabilities: 10 years (UR), 13 years (OBC-NCL), 15 years (SC / ST)
• 5 years for J&K domicile (01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989)
• Ex-Servicemen relaxation as per Govt. of India rules

Salary

• Engineer (Safety): Rs. 78,390 per month consolidated
• Addl. Engineer / Addl. Executive grade: Rs. 66,110 to Rs. 67,860 per month
• Dy. Engineer / Dy. Executive grade: Rs. 54,990 per month
• Asst. Engineer / Asst. Executive grade: Rs. 43,880 to Rs. 45,050 per month
• Mineral Processing (Post 10, 23): Rs. 49,140 per month for B.Sc / M.Sc Chemistry route
• Site Allowance: 7.5% of pay for site / project locations; Metro Allowance: 2.5% of pay
• Annual Increment: 3% of consolidated pay rounded to next ten rupees
• HRA: 5% of consolidated pay if company accommodation is not used
• Mediclaim: Reimbursement up to Rs. 15,000 per year (Rs. 4,00,000 floater cover)
• Group Personal Accident Policy: Sum insured Rs. 25 lakhs

Selection Process

1. Online application submission with all documents and fee payment by 11 May 2026
2. Walk-in Interview — the only mode of selection. Held at Delhi, Ranchi, Kolkata or Bangalore; dates will be uploaded on the MECON Career page
3. Document scrutiny on the day of the walk-in interview — bring originals plus self-attested photocopies
4. Medical Examination before final appointment — joining is subject to medical fitness
5. Offer of Appointment initially for 1 year, renewable based on performance up to the contract period (1 to 5 years per post)

Outstation candidates eligible for interview will be reimbursed III Tier A/C rail fare or Rs. 7 per km by road, whichever is less, on production of tickets.

• Handle site execution and supervision of civil, structural, mechanical or electrical works on industrial projects depending on the post applied for
• Manage project planning and scheduling using Primavera or MS Project, including progress monitoring, MIS reporting and multidisciplinary coordination
• Conduct QA / QC checks on materials, site inspections and ensure compliance with codes, drawings and specifications
• Supervise industrial fire & safety / HSE standards across project sites for Safety post holders
• Prepare and evaluate tender documents, contractor bills and order placement at site for Contracts posts
• Maintain administrative records covering manpower handling, asset management, transport and guest house bookings for Admin posts
• Support Mineral Processing / Beneficiation Plant operations and design reviews
• Follow MECON's quality and safety SOPs at all times during the contract tenure
