Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal has invited applications for 5 posts under a major research project titled "An Impact Assessment of Minimum Wages on Unorganized Sector Workforce: A Study of Madhya Pradesh". The project is funded by the Madhya Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (MPBOCW), Government of Madhya Pradesh and is led by Dr. Pushpender Yadav, Project Director. These are purely contract posts created only for this project, so freshers with a social science background can apply.

Vacancy Breakdown

• Research Associate: 1 post, for 4 months, salary Rs. 37,000 per month
• Field Investigator: 4 posts, for 2 months, salary Rs. 20,000 per month

All posts are on a contract basis for the fixed project duration only.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have passed post-graduation (Master's degree) in any one of these subjects — Public Administration, Economics, Rural Development, Sociology, Population Studies, Management, Commerce, Statistics, or a related social science discipline.
• Marks: You need at least 55% marks in your post-graduation.
• Preferred Skills: It helps if you are good with computers, MS Excel, SPSS and handling data.

Salary

• Research Associate: Rs. 37,000 per month (consolidated, fixed)
• Field Investigator: Rs. 20,000 per month (consolidated, fixed)
• The salary is a fixed consolidated amount. No other benefits or allowances are given under the project.

Selection Process

Selection is based on your qualifications and an interview:

1. Shortlisting: The project team will shortlist candidates based on their qualifications and experience. Shortlisted candidates will be informed by email.
2. Interview: The interview will be held in offline mode only. No TA/DA (travel allowance) will be paid for attending.
