Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MAHATRANSCO), also known as MSETCL, has released notification for 3 Superintending Engineer (Civil) posts. MAHATRANSCO is the largest state transmission utility in the country and runs a network of over 53,000 circuit km of transmission lines and 767 EHV substations across Maharashtra. This is a senior officer-level post with a gross salary of about Rs. 2,40,123 per month, so it suits experienced civil engineers from the power sector who are ready to take on a leadership role.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• You must have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Technology or an equivalent qualification.
• The degree must be from a university or institute in India set up under a Central or State Act, or any qualification recognised as equivalent.

Experience

• You need a total of 12 years of experience in civil works related to the power sector.
• Out of these, at least 5 years as Executive Engineer and Additional Executive Engineer, OR 2 years as Executive Engineer.
• Experience means post-qualification experience gained after you got the essential degree.
• For outsider candidates, equivalency is decided based on the gross emoluments drawn and the job responsibilities handled.

Other Requirements

• You must be an Indian Citizen.
• Knowledge of Marathi is needed — you must show a certificate of passing in Marathi, or a certificate that you can read, write and speak Marathi fluently.
• Departmental MSETCL candidates with an Engineering degree in any other discipline can also apply if they meet the experience condition, but they will compete on the Civil Engineering syllabus.
• You must declare a small family as per the Maharashtra Civil Services (Declaration of Small Family) Rules, 2005.

Age Limit

• Open category (outsider): up to 50 years (including relaxation).
• Reserved category (outsider): up to 55 years.
• Departmental MSETCL employees: up to 57 years.
• Age will be counted as on 12 June 2026 (the last date to apply). Mention your date of birth as per your SSC / school leaving certificate.

Salary

• Pay scale: Rs. 1,09,935 - 4,740 - 1,33,635 - 5,245 - 2,43,780.
• The approximate monthly gross salary (without office accommodation) is Rs. 2,40,123.
• You will also get DA, HRA, Medical Benefits, CPF, Gratuity and other benefits as per company rules.
• Office quarters may be given in place of HRA if available, and a hired vehicle plus telephone reimbursement for official use if eligible.

• Payment mode: Demand Draft (with CTS Code) drawn on any nationalised bank, payable at Mumbai, in favour of "Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Ltd."
• Fee paid by cheque, postal order, money order or cash will not be accepted. A Demand Draft without a CTS code will be rejected. The fee is non-refundable.

Selection Process

There is no written exam. Selection is done through a Competency Mapping Test with the following five tools:

1. In-Basket Exercise
2. Group Discussion
3. Case Discussion
4. Presentation Skill
5. Personal Interview — only shortlisted candidates are called, after their eligibility is verified.

Candidates who are apparently eligible on age, qualification and experience are first called for the four tools (In-Basket, Group Discussion, Case Discussion and Presentation Skill). Based on this performance, a shortlist is prepared for the Personal Interview. The final select list is based on your overall performance in all five tools. The exact selection process is at the discretion of the company. Call letters are sent only through the email ID given in your application form, so enter it carefully.

How to Apply

1. Fill the application proforma given at the end of the official advertisement, preferably typewritten on full-scale paper. Do not change the prescribed proforma.
2. Attach a Demand Draft (with CTS code) for the application fee.
3. Attach self-attested copies of all certificates — age, qualification, caste, caste validity, domicile, experience, salary slips, etc.
4. Write your full name, advertisement number and post applied on the back of the Demand Draft.
5. Superscribe the envelope as "Application for the post of Superintending Engineer (Civil) against Advertisement No. 03/2026".
