Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MAHATRANSCO) has released Employment Advertisement No. 01/2026 dated 04 May 2026 for Executive Director (Transmission). MAHATRANSCO is a wholly owned Maharashtra Government company and one of the largest state transmission utilities in India. This is a senior leadership role for experienced power transmission professionals who have worked at Superintending Engineer level and above.

Vacancy Details

Who Can Apply?

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology from a recognised university or institute.
• Total Experience: Minimum 15 years post-qualification experience in the power sector.
• Transmission Experience: At least 5 years should be in a high-responsibility power transmission role at Superintending Engineer level and above.
• Chief Engineer Experience: Out of the above, 1 year must be as Chief Engineer (Transmission).
• Departmental Candidates: MSETCL candidates with Engineering/Technology degree in another discipline may be considered if they meet the experience requirement and compete in the selection process based on Electrical Engineering syllabus.

Power Transmission Experience

• Experience may include operations and maintenance of EHV/HVDC substations or lines, EHV/HVDC construction, design engineering, load management of EHV/HVDC networks, or O&M of EHV substations attached to power generation plants.
• EHV means 66 kV and above voltage level.
• Private contractor/proprietor experience certificates will not be counted as power sector or power transmission experience.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 59 years.
• Age will be calculated as on 20 May 2026.
• Contract appointment will be for 3 years from joining or until attaining 62 years, whichever is earlier.

Salary

• Pay scale: Rs. 1,49,820 - 6,595 - 2,88,315.
• Approximate monthly gross emoluments without office accommodation: Rs. 3,33,112.
• Benefits include DA, HRA, medical benefits, CPF and gratuity as per company rules.
• Company/hired vehicle and telephone reimbursement may be provided for official use as per rules.

Selection Process

1. Application Scrutiny: Applications received on or before 20 May 2026 will be checked for age, qualification, experience and reservation eligibility.
2. Personal Interview: Normally selection will be through personal interview. MAHATRANSCO may choose another selection process at its discretion.
3. Document Verification: Candidates must produce original documents for eligibility verification.
