Mahadayi PRAWAH is a Body Corporate set up by the Central Government under the Mahadayi Water Management Scheme, 2023, to ensure compliance with the final award of the Mahadayi Water Disputes Tribunal and to manage the inter-state river waters shared by Goa, Maharashtra, and Karnataka. The Authority is headquartered at Panaji, Goa. These are senior-level positions at Joint Secretary / Additional Secretary level of the Central Government and are filled by deputation from eligible officers of Central or State Governments.

Responsibilities
- Implement the award and directions of the Mahadayi Water Disputes Tribunal related to the assigned area of expertise
- Monitor water usage, diversion, and flow data in the Mahadayi river basin across the three states
- Coordinate with Goa, Maharashtra, and Karnataka state governments on water management matters
- Prepare reports and recommend action to the Authority on compliance with the Tribunal's award
- Attend and contribute to meetings, conferences, and review sessions of the Mahadayi PRAWAH
- Handle administrative and financial matters related to the functioning of the Authority (for Director Finance)
- Assist in resolution of inter-state water disputes referred to the Authority
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Serving Central/State Government officer holding analogous post on regular basis with relevant domain experience
Required Skills
Environmental management, hydrology, water resources management, monitoring, regulatory experience, or financial management (depending on post applied for)
