Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has released Advertisement No. 01/2026 for 2 posts — Executive Engineer and Assistant Director (Official Language) — to be filled through transfer on deputation. KVS Executive Engineer & Assistant Director Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, manages over 1,250 Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country. Through this notification (File No. 11-RPS054/1/2026-RPS dated 24 March 2026), KVS is looking to fill one Executive Engineer post and one Assistant Director (Official Language) post on deputation. This is a deputation-only recruitment — only serving government officers from Central or State Government departments are eligible. The deputation period is initially three years and can be extended by two more years.

Vacancy Details

• Executive Engineer: 1 post — Pay Level-11 (Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700)
• Assistant Director (Official Language): 1 post — Pay Level-10 (Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500)

Note: Officers in the direct line of promotion (feeder category) are not eligible for deputation. Similarly, deputationists are not eligible for promotion. Period of deputation in other ex-cadre posts held immediately before this appointment must not exceed three years.

Who Can Apply?

For Executive Engineer (Pay Level-11)

• Qualification: Graduate degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university
• Experience (any one of the following):

1. Holding analogous posts with the same pay scale in the parent cadre with experience in Civil Works
2. Assistant Engineer (Civil) with 7 years experience in Civil Works in Pay Level-7
3. Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) or equivalent posts in Pay Level-10 with 4 years regular service in the grade

For Assistant Director - Official Language (Pay Level-10)

• Who can apply: Officers from Central/State Governments or Union Territories
• Service requirement: Holding analogous posts on regular basis, OR with 3 years service in Pay Level-7 (Rs. 44,900-1,42,400)

Educational Qualification (any one):

• Master's degree in Hindi with English as compulsory or elective subject
• Master's degree in English with Hindi as compulsory or elective subject
• Master's degree in any subject (other than Hindi/English) with Hindi and English as medium or compulsory/elective subjects at the degree level

Experience (any one):

• 3 years experience of using terminology and translation work (English to Hindi or vice-versa), preferably of technical or scientific literature in Central/State Governments, PSUs, Universities, or recognized research/educational institutions
• 3 years experience of teaching in Hindi and English, or research in Hindi or English, under Central/State Governments, PSUs, Universities, or recognized institutions

Age Limit

• You should be below 56 years of age as on the closing date of receipt of applications (i.e., 30 April 2026).

Salary

• Executive Engineer: Pay Level-11 — Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700 per month as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix
• Assistant Director (Official Language): Pay Level-10 — Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix
• Plus DA, HRA, TA, and other allowances as per Central Government rules
• Terms and conditions of deputation will be regulated as per DoPT O.M. No. DOPT-1726140763694 dated 28.03.2024

Selection Process

Since this is a deputation post, there is no written exam. Selection will be based on:

1. Screening of Applications: Your application, forwarded through proper channel by your cadre controlling authority, will be screened for eligibility
2. Document Verification: Verification of service records, ACRs/APARs, vigilance clearance, and integrity certificate
3. Merit-Based Selection: Based on your service record, experience, and suitability for the post

3. Get the application forwarded through your cadre controlling authority or Head of Department
4. Your employer must certify the Cadre Controlling Authority section (Annexure III) including vigilance clearance and integrity certificate
5. Attach photocopies of ACRs/APARs for the last 5 years, duly attested by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary

• Prepare engineering estimates, drawings, and specifications for new building projects and renovations
• Monitor progress of civil works and ensure adherence to quality standards and timelines
• Coordinate with contractors, architects, and government agencies for smooth execution of works
• Handle official language implementation, translation of documents from English to Hindi and vice-versa, and ensure compliance with Official Language Act provisions
• Manage budgets and expenditure for construction and maintenance projects or official language division
• Prepare reports and maintain records related to civil works or official language activities
