- Long jump or high jump: long jump 3.80 metres or high jump 1.20 metres, with 3 chances
- Shot put: 7.26 kg shot put to at least 5.60 metres, with 3 chances
For Female and Third Gender Candidates
- Height: 157 cm
- Weight: 45 kg
- 400 metres run: within 2 minutes
- Long jump or high jump: long jump 2.50 metres or high jump 0.90 metres, with 3 chances

Relaxed Height for Forest Tribal Candidates
- Male forest tribal candidates: height 155 cm, with chest expansion rules as mentioned in the notification.

Selection Process
The selection process has written exam, physical tests, Kannada test where applicable, medical exam and document verification. Candidates are called for PST/PET in a 1:5 ratio based on written exam performance and vacancy/category rules.
- Written Exam (Offline OMR): 100 questions for 100 marks in 90 minutes. The exam is scheduled for 2 August 2026, 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
- Negative Marking: Each wrong answer carries 0.25 mark deduction. If more than one answer is shaded for a question, 0.25 mark will also be deducted.
- Kannada Language Test: Required for candidates who are not exempt under the Kannada language rules. Date will be announced later.
- Physical Standard Test and Physical Endurance Test: Shortlisted candidates must clear the height, chest, run, jump and shot put standards.
- Medical Examination: Vision, hearing, chest X-ray, physical deformity checks and other medical tests may be conducted as advised by the Medical Board.
