Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), a Government of India undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, has released vacancy notice No. CO/RE/01/2026 for one Junior Electrical Engineer post in its Electrical Department. The recruitment is exclusively for retired employees of Indian Railways, Central Government, State Government, CPSUs, or SPUs. The selected candidate will be engaged for one year on re-employment basis to handle 25 kV OHE and allied power supply maintenance.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• SSC with ITI (Electrician) OR Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from a recognised AICTE-approved university or institution

Service Eligibility

• Retired employee in 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-6 (Grade Pay Rs. 4200)
• Retired railway supervisor with minimum 3 years working experience in Railways or PSUs in 25 kV power supply maintenance and general service maintenance, at pay Level-6 and above

Work Experience

• Minimum 7 years experience as Junior Electrical Engineer in Railways or PSU
• Out of which at least 3 years shall be in PSI and GS maintenance in Pay Matrix Level-6 and above

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 62 years as on the date of notification (23 April 2026)
• No minimum age specified — applicants must be retired and meet the service criteria

Salary

• Pay scale: 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-06 (Grade Pay Rs. 4200)
• Pay and allowances will be governed as per Railway Board Guidelines — your last month's basic pay minus pension
• Allowances are applicable on the last basic pay without deducting pension

Selection Process

Selection is based on:

1. Screening of Application: Applications are screened based on the eligibility criteria, qualification, and work experience
2. Vigilance and D&AR Clearance: The selection is subject to vigilance and disciplinary clearance, if required
3. Document Verification: Self-attested certificates of qualifications and Pension Payment Order (PPO) are verified

• Supervise switching stations and TSS (Traction Sub-Stations) for reliability
• Monitor power supply systems and ensure prompt response to faults
• Maintain technical records, duty registers, and breakdown logs
• Coordinate with railway operations team for power supply continuity
