TCIL Engineering Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Overview

Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL), a Government of India public-sector enterprise, is offering engineering apprenticeship training at TCIL Bhawan in New Delhi. The programme sits within TCIL's telecom, information technology and civil-engineering work and is governed by the Apprentices Act. It is a fixed training engagement designed for recent engineering graduates and diploma holders, not an appointment to TCIL's regular workforce.

The notice is framed as an empanelment for future requirements, so TCIL may use the panel according to its actual need and the suitability of candidates. If you want supervised workplace exposure after college, this programme gives you a route into a large technical PSU environment. Your academic stream determines the apprentice role, and your qualification must fall within the passing period stated in the notice.

Posts and Disciplines

  • Graduate Engineer Apprentice: intended for engineering graduates from the Electronics or Civil stream who want practical exposure to TCIL's technical functions.
  • Technician Diploma Apprentice: intended for diploma holders from Electronics, Civil, Computer Science or Information Technology, with training matched to the relevant discipline.

Post-wise Duties

Graduate Engineer Apprentice

You will support technical teams with engineering records, basic analysis and supervised project tasks connected with your branch. The training may expose you to the documentation, coordination and quality practices used across telecom, IT and civil work.

Technician Diploma Apprentice

You will assist with hands-on technical support, equipment or system records and routine discipline-specific work under an experienced supervisor. Your exact assignment will depend on whether your diploma is in Electronics, Civil, Computer Science or IT.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Training tenure: the apprenticeship runs for one year under the Apprentices Act and TCIL's applicable rules.
  • Prior apprenticeship: anyone currently undergoing or already having completed apprenticeship training under the Act cannot join this programme.
  • Recent qualification: the required degree or diploma must have been obtained during or after the passing period named in the notice.
  • No regular-job claim: completing this training gives you no right to regular employment with TCIL, and selected trainees must provide an undertaking accepting this condition.
  • Seat flexibility: the notified requirement is tentative and may increase, decrease or remain partly unfilled if suitable candidates are unavailable.
  • Communication: TCIL will use your registered email address for candidate updates, so it must remain active and correctly entered.
  • Travel costs: TCIL will not pay TA or DA for attendance connected with the interview, verification or joining.
