Who Can Apply?

Engineering and IT Posts

• Assistant Engineer (Civil): Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with 60% marks and valid GATE Civil Engineering score from 2023, 2024, or 2025.
• Assistant Manager / IT: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent with 60% marks and valid GATE CS score from 2023, 2024, or 2025. IT internship or entry-level IT experience is preferred.
• Assistant Materials Manager: Engineering degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Electronics with 60% marks. PGDMM or MBA in Material Management is preferred.
• Assistant Mechanical Engineer: Mechanical Engineering degree with 60% marks and valid GATE Mechanical score.
• Assistant Signal & Telecom Engineer: BE/B.Tech in relevant electronics or communication discipline with 50% marks for the SC post and valid GATE EC score.
• Assistant Electrical Engineer: Electrical Engineering degree with 60% marks and valid GATE Electrical score.

Medical, Management, Finance, and Administration Posts

• Assistant Medical Officer: MBBS from an MCI/NMC recognised medical college with permanent State Medical Council registration.
• Assistant Traffic Manager: Bachelor's degree plus full-time MBA/MMS/PGDM in Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or Sales with the required marks and valid CAT score of at least 80 percentile from 2023 or later.
• Assistant Financial Advisor: CA or CMA qualification.
• Assistant Personnel Officer: Bachelor's degree with MBA in Human Resources and valid CAT score from 2023 or later.
• Assistant Deputy General Manager: Bachelor's degree with MBA in General Management and valid CAT score from 2023 or later.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 30 years old as on 1 April 2026.
• SC: Upper age relaxation of 5 years, up to 35 years.
• OBC-NCL: Upper age relaxation of 3 years, up to 33 years.
• Serving KRCL regular employees: Relaxation up to 45 years for UR, 48 years for OBC-NCL, and 50 years for SC, subject to 3 years regular service.

Salary

• Pay Level: 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level 8
• Pay Range: Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,51,100 per month
• Grade Pay: Rs. 4,800
• After successful probation, promotion to Group A Level 10 may be considered as per KRCL rules.
• Pay, perks, and allowances are given as per KRCL CDA scale rules.

Selection Process

The selection process differs by post, but the final process includes document verification, presentation, interview, and medical examination.

1. Written Exam: Mandatory for Assistant Medical Officer and Assistant Financial Advisor. It may also be used for other posts if KRCL receives many applications.
2. GATE/CAT Score Shortlisting: For engineering and management posts, valid GATE or CAT score is used for shortlisting and merit.
3. Document Verification: You must show original certificates for age, qualification, category, GATE/CAT/CA/CMA score, and experience.
4. Presentation: Shortlisted candidates present on a given topic before the interview stage.
5. Personal Interview: KRCL checks technical knowledge, communication, and fit for executive responsibility.
