It has released Notification No. CO/P-R/8C/2026 dated 19.05.2026 to fill 9 vacancies on fixed-term contract basis for various projects, initially for one year. No written exam — candidates can directly attend the walk-in interview at the venue with all original certificates. Both freshers and experienced commerce graduates can apply depending on the post.

Who Can Apply?

Assistant Account Officer (1 post)

• Qualification: You must have a CMA or CA qualification.
• Experience: No prior experience required.

Section Officer (4 posts)

• Qualification: B.Com from a recognised university.
• Experience: If you have a B.Com, you need 7 years' experience in any company incorporated under the Companies Act. With M.Com, you need 4 years' experience. With Inter CA/CMA, you need 2 years' experience.

Account Assistant (4 posts)

• Qualification: B.Com from a recognised university.
• Experience: If you have a B.Com, you need 3 years' experience. With M.Com, you need 1 year. With Inter CA/CMA, no experience is required.

Age Limit

• Assistant Account Officer: up to 35 years
• Section Officer: up to 40 years
• Account Assistant: up to 35 years
• Age reference date: 01 January 2026
• Age Relaxation: 3 years for OBC (NCL) candidates if applying against the post reserved for the respective category. Relaxation for Ex-Servicemen is at the discretion of KRCL.

Salary

Monthly consolidated remuneration depends on the city class where you are posted:

• Assistant Account Officer: Rs. 76,660 (A Class) / Rs. 71,900 (B Class) / Rs. 67,140 (C Class)
• Section Officer: Rs. 57,140 (A Class) / Rs. 53,600 (B Class) / Rs. 50,060 (C Class)
• Account Assistant: Rs. 47,220 (A Class) / Rs. 44,300 (B Class) / Rs. 41,380 (C Class)
• Pay includes Basic + DA + Other Allowances (HRA, Conveyance, Mobile Network Allowance)
• Annual increase of 4% on consolidated remuneration based on satisfactory performance
• Plus medical allowance Rs. 500/month, life insurance and health insurance premium reimbursement up to Rs. 500/month each, and complementary railway pass

Application Fee

Selection Process

Selection is through a walk-in interview with no written exam in most cases. The stages are:

1. Document Verification: Report at the venue with original certificates and one set of self-attested photocopies in the prescribed application format (Annexure-A).
2. Preliminary Screening: KRCL will screen the applications submitted in person on the day. Only provisionally eligible candidates will be interviewed.
3. Group Discussion / Elimination Round: A Group Discussion or written test can be introduced depending on the number of candidates. This is at KRCL's discretion.
4. Personal Interview: A nominated committee will conduct the interview. The final merit list is based on interview performance, qualification, and post-qualification experience.
5. Medical Examination: Selected candidates must pass a prescribed medical examination before joining.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview. Candidates should be prepared to stay for a minimum of 2 days if required, at their own cost.

2. Fill in the application form in the prescribed format with passport-size photo affixed and signed.
3. Arrange self-attested copies of all required documents: qualification certificates, date of birth proof (SSLC/SSC), caste certificate (if any), experience certificate, two passport-size photos, and a character certificate from a Gazetted Officer.
4. Report at the venue Executive Club, Konkan Rail Vihar, Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd., Near Seawoods Railway Station, Sector-40, Seawoods (West), Navi Mumbai on the date for your post.
5. Registration time is 09:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs only on the date of walk-in.
6. Carry the originals along with one set of self-attested photocopies and your filled application form.

• Handle day-to-day accounting transactions and financial records for KRCL projects
• Prepare vouchers, ledgers, bills and statements of accounts on time
• Assist in budgeting, project cost monitoring, and variance analysis
• Work with auditors and respond to audit queries with proper documentation
• Maintain compliance with statutory rules on GST, TDS and other tax matters
• Coordinate with project teams for fund release, contractor payments and reconciliation
• Support senior officers in financial reporting to KRCL management and Ministry of Railways
• Be ready to be posted at any KRCL establishment along the Konkan Railway route
