Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL), a 50:50 joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Kerala, has released notification number KMRL/HR/REEMPLOYMENT/2026-27/02 for 1 Fleet Supervisor post. The role primarily covers supervision of Feeder Bus and E-auto services that connect with the Kochi Metro network. This is a re-employment post open to retired officers from the Kerala Police or Motor Vehicles Department who know the Kochi traffic and transport eco-system.

Who Can Apply?

• Service background: You must be a retired officer in a rank not below Sub Inspector (Police) or Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector (Motor Vehicles Department, Government of Kerala).
• Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in Law Enforcement and Traffic Regulations.
• Nationality: Only Indian Nationals can apply.
• Preference: Candidates familiar with the traffic and transport eco-system in Kochi and with experience in Traffic Management will be given preference.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 56 years as on 1 May 2026
• Maximum age: 62 years as on 1 May 2026
• The engagement can be extended up to the age of 65 years based on performance

Salary

• Consolidated pay: Rs. 52,000 per month on re-employment basis
• You will be eligible for reimbursements applicable to the equivalent grade as per KMRL's re-employment guidelines
• KMRL may offer a lower consolidated pay than that notified, based on management discretion

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Shortlisting: KMRL will shortlist candidates based on qualification, experience and notification criteria. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview through their registered email.
2. Interview: A personal interview will be conducted with the shortlisted candidates. There is no written exam for this post.

Note: Merely fulfilling the minimum qualifications does not give any right to be called for interview or selection.

• Identify and plan new routes and optimise existing routes for e-autos and feeder buses
• Map routes and verify operational corridors and passenger demand on the ground
• Resolve operational issues with local auto unions and other stakeholders
• Handle accident-related matters including documentation and insurance claim follow-up
• Conduct en-route inspections to ensure adherence to approved routes and operational discipline
• Monitor driver compliance and report operational deviations
• Liaise with statutory authorities such as the Police and Motor Vehicles Department
• Follow up auto rent payments and operator compliance matters
