Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) Driver Grade II (HDV) Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) has released a Non-Availability of Candidates (NCA) notification for 2 Driver Grade II (HDV) posts under the NCC/Sainik Welfare Department in Ernakulam district. This is a special recruitment reserved exclusively for Ex-servicemen and Disembodied Territorial Army personnel belonging to specific communities, issued because the ranked list prepared earlier ran out of eligible candidates before all reserved vacancies could be filled. This vacancy exists because candidates from these communities were not available when the original ranked list was finalised for Ernakulam district on 15 November 2023 (Cat. No. 163/2022), so the Commission is now conducting a fresh National Category Adjustment (NCA) round exclusively for these reserved groups. Only Ex-servicemen from the Scheduled Caste Converted to Christianity (SCCC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities can apply for these two vacancies.

Because this is a district-wise, community-specific NCA drive, you must apply only to the Ernakulam district and mention your community correctly in your online application. Candidates already selected from the ranked list for this post in any district cannot apply again for the same post, but can apply for higher posts when notified. If you get selected, you will be posted in Ernakulam district and will not be eligible for inter-district transfer until you complete 5 years of continuous service.

Vacancy Breakdown by Community

  • Scheduled Caste Converted to Christianity (SCCC): 1 post (Ernakulam district, 1st NCA notification)
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST): 1 post (Ernakulam district, 3rd NCA notification)

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: You need literacy in Malayalam, Tamil or Kannada, plus a valid Motor Driving Licence with endorsement for Heavy Duty Vehicles and Motor Cycle.
  • Experience: You must have 3 years of experience driving heavy vehicles in Military or Civil service, backed by a valid experience certificate in the prescribed format.
  • Eligibility: Only Ex-servicemen or Disembodied Territorial Army personnel from the SCCC or ST community (as per the category you apply for) can apply. You must produce your Discharge Certificate and Pension Payment Order when asked.

  • Differently abled candidates are not eligible to apply for this post.

In addition to the qualifications listed above, the Commission also accepts equivalent qualifications recognised by executive orders or standing orders of the Government.
