Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) Clerk Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) has released Category No. 094/2026 for the post of Clerk under the NCC/Sainik Welfare department. This is a Special Recruitment meant only for Ex-servicemen who belong to the Scheduled Tribe community — applications from anyone else will be rejected without individual notice. The current vacancy is for Kozhikode district, but the rank list prepared from this notification will stay valid for one to three years and will also be used to fill any further ST Ex-servicemen vacancies that come up during that time.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have passed SSLC (10th) or an equivalent examination.
• Category: Only Ex-servicemen belonging to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) community of Kerala can apply for this post.
• Candidates already working in a government post in any district under this same selection cannot apply, but can apply for higher posts when notified.

Age Limit

• You should be born between 2 January 1981 and 1 January 2008 (both dates included) — this works out to 18 to 45 years.
• Age Relaxation: Concessions are allowed in the upper age limit, but in no case can your age exceed 50 years, including all relaxations.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 26,500 to Rs. 60,700 per month.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Kerala Government rules.

Selection Process

Kerala PSC will prepare a rank list for Kozhikode district based on this notification:

1. Written/OMR/Online Test (if conducted): If a test is held for this post, you must confirm you will write it through your OTR profile. Only candidates who confirm can generate and download the admit card in the last 15 days before the exam.
2. Rank List: A district-wise rank list is prepared for Kozhikode and stays valid for one to three years.
3. Document Verification: You will need to produce original documents proving your qualification, age, and ST Ex-servicemen status when asked.

Note: If selected, you will be on probation for two years within a continuous period of three years. Appointment is made on a revenue district basis — once appointed to Kozhikode district, you cannot transfer to another district unless you complete five years of continuous service there.

Good to know: If the caste shown in your application differs from your SSLC certificate, you must produce a caste-difference gazette notification along with your community certificate at the time of document verification. Providing false information about your qualifications, experience or age can lead to rejection of your application or disciplinary action, including debarment from future Kerala PSC selections — so double check everything before you submit.
