Kerala PSC is hiring 1 Assistant Executive Engineer (Electrical) for the Kerala State Housing Board. The Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) has released notification Category No. 074/2026 for 1 Assistant Executive Engineer (Electrical) post in the Kerala State Housing Board. This is a direct recruitment to a permanent post, and the ranked list published against this notification will remain in force for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years. Electrical engineers who already have field experience as an Assistant Engineer, and are looking to move up to an executive-level government engineering role, should apply for this post before the deadline.

Who Can Apply?

You are eligible for this post if you meet both of the following requirements:

• Qualification: A Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electrical & Electronics) from a UGC-recognized university, a National Institute set up by the Central Government, or an institution set up by the Government of Kerala, or an equivalent qualification
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience as an Assistant Engineer (Electrical) or an equivalent rank in a Government, Quasi-Government, Public Sector Undertaking, or registered private sector undertaking, acquired after you obtained your basic qualification

Your experience certificate must be in the prescribed format given in the notification — stating your employer's name and registration details, your designation, the nature of your engagement (permanent, temporary, apprentice, trainee or daily wage), and your exact period of service — and it must be certified by your Head of Office or the concerned Controlling Officer. You must upload this certificate at the time of submitting your application, or your application will be rejected. You must also complete the One Time Registration (OTR) on the Kerala PSC website before applying.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 40 years old. Only candidates born between 2 January 1986 and 1 January 2008 (both dates included) can apply.
• Age Relaxation: Other Backward Communities and SC/ST candidates get usual age relaxation.
• Provisional hands already working in Kerala State Housing Board get relaxation equal to their provisional service, up to a maximum of five years from the upper age limit, provided they were within the prescribed age limit at first appointment and completed a minimum of one year of provisional service.

Salary

• The pay scale for this post is Rs. 56,500 to Rs. 1,18,100 per month.
• You will also get DA and other allowances as per Kerala State Housing Board rules.

Selection Process

Selection for this post is done by the Kerala PSC based on the notification:

1. Written / OMR / Online Test (if conducted): If a test is held as part of this selection, you must submit a confirmation through your OTR profile to generate your admission ticket, available in the last 15 days before the test date.
2. Document Verification: You must produce original documents proving your qualification, experience, age and community when the Commission calls for them.

A ranked list of selected candidates will be published and stays valid for a minimum of one year, up to a maximum of three years. The Commission can cancel the advice for appointment if it is later found to have been made under a mistake, and the appointing authority must terminate the candidate's service within the probation period or 240 days from the date of joining, whichever is earlier.

If your caste or community claimed in the application differs from what is recorded in your SSLC book, you must produce a Gazette Notification along with a Non-Creamy Layer or Community Certificate at the time of document verification. If you receive a profile message at any stage of the selection asking you to upload documents, do so within the given time — otherwise you will not be considered for the next stage. The Commission can also take disciplinary action under Rule 22 of the Kerala Public Service Commission Rules of Procedure against candidates who submit bogus claims about their qualifications or experience, including disqualification or debarment from applying to the Commission.
