Kamdhenu University, Gandhinagar (a Gujarat State university set up under the Gujarat Act of 2009) has released Advertisement No. 01/2026 to fill 101 vacant posts of Junior Clerk in its non-teaching administrative cadre. 33% of the posts are reserved for women, and 10% are reserved for ex-servicemen. This is a permanent Class-3 government job, so it is a strong option if you want a stable clerical career in the education sector in Gujarat.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must hold a Bachelor's degree (graduation) in any stream from a university established by a central or state Act, or from a recognised/deemed university.
• Computer Knowledge: You must have basic computer knowledge as required under the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
• Language: You must have adequate knowledge of Gujarati and Hindi (or both languages).
• Nationality: You must be an Indian citizen as per the Gujarat recruitment rules.

Age Limit

• You should be between 20 and 35 years old as on 31 July 2026.
• Age Relaxation: General category women get 5 years; reserved category men get 5 years; reserved category women get 10 years.
• Persons with Disabilities: get 10 to 20 years relaxation depending on category, but the maximum age cannot cross 45 years.
• Ex-Servicemen: get relaxation equal to their service period plus 3 years.

Salary

• You will get a fixed monthly pay of Rs. 29,000 for the first five years of service.
• After five years of satisfactory service, you will be placed in the regular pay scale of Rs. 19,900 - Rs. 63,200 (Pay Matrix Level-2) plus allowances as per Gujarat Government rules.

• Payment mode: Online only. Fees paid by cash, demand draft or postal order will not be accepted, and the fee is non-refundable.

Selection Process

The selection is done in two stages, both objective (MCQ) type in OMR or CBRT mode:

1. Preliminary Examination: 150 questions for 150 marks in 120 minutes. This is only a screening test — its marks are not counted for the final merit. Candidates up to 7 times the vacancies (category-wise) are called for the Main Exam.
2. Main Examination: 200 questions for 200 marks in 120 minutes. The final merit is based on this exam.
3. Document Verification: Candidates up to 3 times the vacancies (category-wise) are called for document verification after the Main Exam.

Negative Marking: 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong or blank answer. You need at least 40% marks in each stage to qualify. The exam medium is Gujarati (except the English subject).
