Kamdhenu University (KU), Gujarat, has released a notice to fill 1 Junior Research Fellow post for the project titled "Natural Farming vs Conventional Farming: Understanding the Translational Dynamics of Microbiome, Drug and Pesticide Residues in Animal Products", run under the Bharatiya Prakritik Krishi Paddhati (Natural Farming) programme and sponsored by GSBTM, Government of Gujarat. The post is based at the College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (CoVS & A.H.), Rajpur (Nava), Himmatnagar. This is a purely contractual position tied to the research scheme, so postgraduates in veterinary and life sciences interested in animal biotechnology research should apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Post Graduate degree in Veterinary Science (any discipline), Agriculture, Zoology, Pharmacy, Industrial Biotechnology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or any relevant Life Sciences subject, OR Fisheries Science/Marine Science.
• NET Requirement: Candidates with NET (as per DST, GOI norms) get the higher fellowship; candidates without NET can also apply for the lower fellowship amount.
• Experience: Experience working in a similar project is desirable, especially for candidates who do not hold a B.V.Sc & A.H. degree.

Age Limit

• Male candidates can apply up to 40 years of age.
• Female candidates can apply up to 45 years of age.

Salary

• NET-qualified JRFs get a fellowship of Rs. 31,000 per month plus HRA.
• Non-NET JRFs get a fellowship of Rs. 23,213 per month (HRA not applicable).
• This is a contractual research position — no other allowances are mentioned, and the job ends when the research project is completed.

Selection Process (Walk-in Interview)

Selection happens through a walk-in interview. If a large number of candidates apply, a written test will be held first to shortlist candidates for the interview.
