Kalakshetra Foundation, an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, has released a notification for 1 Warden post at its Besant Cultural Centre Hostel for girls in Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai. This is a contract position for one year that may be extended depending on requirement, and only female candidates are eligible to apply. The selected Warden will be provided free food and accommodation on campus and will need to live in the hostel. Women with prior hostel management experience and a genuine interest in mentoring young students should apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Pass in 12th Standard (XII) with good English-speaking skills
• Experience: More than 2 years of experience working as a Warden in a girls' hostel is compulsory — your experience certificate must be verifiable with the institution you last worked at
• Desirable Qualification: Graduation in Psychology, Human Resource, Home Science or Social Welfare
• Desirable Skills: Knowledge of one or more South Indian languages (Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada) or Hindi, and experience counselling children
• Gender: Only female candidates can apply

Note: Applications where the experience certificate cannot be verified with the institution last worked will be summarily rejected.

Age Limit

• You should be between 30 and 50 years old as on the closing date of application.
• You should be in good physical health.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 30,000 per month depending on experience.
• You will also get free food and accommodation at the hostel.
• You are entitled to one weekly off day and one day of leave for every completed month of service.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Document Verification: Your experience certificate will be checked with the institution you last worked at — applications with unverifiable experience will be rejected.
2. Interview: Bring your filled application along with self-attested copies of your testimonials at the time of interview.
