Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU) is recruiting a Project Assistant for research at its Paraprofessional Institute of Fisheries Technology in Madhavaram, Chennai. The project examines antioxidant-rich polyphenolic byssal proteins from the invasive Charru mussel, Mytella strigata, found in Ennore Creek.

The research explores these proteins for biomedical applications. It is funded through the Chief Minister Research Grant by the Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai, with Dr. K. Masilan named as the principal investigator.
