Jammu and Kashmir Bank Limited (J&K Bank) has released a notification (No. JKB/HR/Rectt/2026-228) inviting applications from eligible football players to join the J&K Bank Football Team in the Assistant Banking Associate or Banking Attendant cadre. There is no written exam — selection is based on sports performance, selection trials, and an interview. Active sportspersons from J&K and Ladakh with strong football credentials are encouraged to apply.

Vacancy Details

Total 7 posts across two cadres:

• Assistant Banking Associate (ABA): 12th pass candidates
• Banking Attendant (BAT): 10th pass candidates

The split between ABA and BAT will be decided by the Bank based on the selection trials and merit list.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Assistant Banking Associate: Pass in 12th Standard examination from a recognised Board
• Banking Attendant: Pass in 10th Standard examination from a recognised Board

Sports Qualification

You must be a domicile of UT of J&K or Ladakh and must have represented (in order of preference):

1. Country in an International competition in football, OR
2. State or UT in a National competition in football, OR
3. District in a State/UT level event, OR a winning University in Inter-University Tournaments conducted by the Inter University Board

Other Requirements

• You must be an active sportsperson at the time of appointment and fit enough to play in future tournaments
• Performance in the previous two years will be given preference

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)

• Banking Attendant: 18 to 30 years
• Assistant Banking Associate: 20 to 28 years
• Age Relaxation: Sportspersons get up to 5 years relaxation in upper age limit (10 years for SC/ST candidates)

Salary

• Assistant Banking Associate (ABA): Pay scale Rs. 24,050 - Rs. 64,480 per month
• Banking Attendant (BAT): Pay scale Rs. 19,500 - Rs. 37,815 per month
• Plus other perks and allowances as admissible to regular employees of the Bank

Selection Process

Selection is purely sports-based with the following stages:

1. Selection Trials: Conducted by the Sports Board of the Bank at Jammu and/or Srinagar centres
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates from trials are called for interview at the designated venue
3. Medical Fitness Test: Final selection depends on medical fitness
4. Document Verification: Verification of character, antecedents, and genuineness of sports certificates

Recruitment is mainly on the basis of sports qualifications, with suitable weightage given to age and previous performance. Selection is strictly on merit determined under the Bank's selection criteria. In case of equal marks, the younger candidate is placed higher in the merit list. Selected candidates will be on a 2-year probation period.

• Perform basic banking attendant or banking associate duties as assigned by the branch
• Travel to other cities and states for tournaments when required
• Promote the Bank's brand through sportsmanship and on-field performance
